Good luck to the lad. Every one of us would have made that jump from a career/security perspective. Wish him nothing but good luck.

Good luck to him. I think we'll miss him a lot more than many others seem to think. I also think it represents a very good deal for Chelsea if it only costs them £50m.

I like him and he wasn't half as bad as some of our fans make out.

 

I tend not to wish "luck" to a rival player though. We need to be fighting these for a similar placed position in the table.

Reckon he's probably wanted to leave for months and months. His reaction after the FA Cup QF loss spoke volumes. 

 

£50m for him is big. Potentially more as time goes on. Yes we could have got more up front but it's nothing to be sniffed at. 

 

Just hope we reinvest properly...

Hopefully he'll be the last one we sell to Chelsea. 

 

From what Percy said I'm pretty sure the £50m announced figure will be a lump sum up front, with more instalments to come - probably a total of £65m - then add-ons on top. 

 

Brilliant business to from the club to develop a player then sell him for so much/

Disappointing that he left but inevitable with the wages offered. 

 

He wasn't as good last season as he was in 2018/19 and perhaps not as good as fuchs defensively but still a big loss to us. A much bigger loss to us than Maguire.
