Ben Chilwell Signs for Chelsea

He'll bench warm there just like Drinkwater. Don't understand the draw of Chelsea tbh, no further ahead than us right now.

What lol

Not a chance he bench-warms.

He's signed to be their first-choice left-back ahead of Alonso.

Don't understand the draw of Chelsea? They're literally in the Champions League and have pretty much doubled his wages at the very least. They quite clearly are ahead of us.

You say that, but that makes my joke not work correctly.

Finished above us by a few points. We only missed out on champs league because of injuries. They had a strong finish but had very poor parts of their season too. Don't see him as ahead of Alonso.

Wages shouldn't be chosen over playing time and progression of one's ability.

He will most definitely be starting ahead of Alonso, earning lots more money, Champions League football, a team on the up with a lot of money spent this summer. Also gets stick at Leicester and is clearly not one of the fans favourites.

Plenty of reasons to choose them over Leicester.

They've not signed him to sit on the bench, seriously. And not paid £190k/w to him for the privilege of doing so.

They're ahead of us as a club in pretty much every single way. I don't know if you're overstating our status as a club or underestimating them, or both.

I think it’ll be obvious why next season... if it isn’t already. Who is in the champions league?

Hmm not sure about this with the signings they have made, I reckon they'll be looking at pushing Liverpool and Man City if things gel for them

Wish him all the best.

Chelsea are buying yet to be seen potential.

However I'm not convinced he's better than alonso, younger yes.

Think in a few months time Chelsea fans will be questioning him.

My biggest worry is we went from talk of 70 or 80 million.

Why have we dropped to 50. Overpriced still. But what has changed.

Quite surprised to be honest.

Hope he sees how the likes of Drink water etc have done when they thought that grass was greener on the other side etc.

Kante and Mahrez have done well.

Dunno why people compare Drinkwater. He's literally one example.

And before anybody says Maguire, he was always nothing more than decent and never worth the money.
