Wesley Fofana: Signs For LCFC

Recommended Posts

Pace, strength, positioning, composure and confidence. Three games in, I’m wondering how we got him over Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. He looks destined for the very very top. If him and Cags can stay together for the next 2/3 years, we’ll do very well.

Oh my god, even his trolling is already at world class levels!

I'd say a club legend in the making, but the only bad news is that this guy will definitely go to a bigger club. Teams around Europe will be seeing him play and realise they made a mistake. I wonder how many years he will be with us? Given his age I think we will keep for 3 seasons (he has a 5 year deal) but after that he's going to go for crazy money. His performances so far are already better than Ake (41m), Dias (60m) and Maguire (80m).

No wonder Puel didn't want to let him go, He was right he'll be the first CB to break 100 million if we ever sold him.

I see big things for him here, He will be our next Captain. We just need to keep building every window and we'll smash the top 4.

He isn’t gonna be here long enough to be captain. Exceptional talent.

I find that usually, those who post ridiculous Wikipedia screenshots asking "whodunit" tend to be the person who "done it". Why would anyone be looking at his, or any players Wikipedia page, immediately after a match when any such joke could be made (we've had loads on here), considering anyone can edit a page and take a quick screenshot for the "LADSLADSLADS" before the admins revert it to its original state.

... he was good though.

He’s definitely destined for big things. He’s only played 3 games so of course we should all try not to get carried away. But in those 3 appearances he’s been solid and very, very promising.

I dread to think how badly the likes of Liverpool, Man City and perhaps Chelsea will come after us for him and Soyuncu in the summer - we’d surely demand £100m for each - I just hope we have them both on lucrative contracts by then.

The thought of him in the same team as Evans & Soyuncu with Ricardo and Castagne bombing down the wings, all being protected by Ndidi, is seriously ****ing exciting.

I wonder who Saliba's mystery ex-teammate could be, going off talking to the media like that

Twitter consensus seems to be that Saliba was better while at St Etienne, and is just being horribly mismanaged at Arsenal. Maybe Agent Fofana could have a word, we'll be needing to buy an Evans replacement soon enough......

Leicester City

As expected, there was not even any point in having a Sky Sports reporter at the King Power on deadline day. There was more chance of seeing pigs fly than Leicester adding any further signings.

Filling the hole left by Harry Maguire was the priority, and they left it late, but Leicester feel they have got the man capable of stepping into that void in Wesley Fofana. Ben Chilwell is a big loss, but they moved quickly to replace him with Timothy Castagne. Still, a few more bodies would have been welcomed.

p.s.  confused?  Try this …

replace "filling the hole left by Harry Maguire was the priority" with "acquiring a third center back better than Harry Maguire seemed a decent laugh".

replace “got the man capable of stepping into that void”  with "followed up their upgrade to PFA Team of the Year CB Caglar Soyuncu with an even more talented youngster”.

Didnt expect him to be THIS good. Jesus christ.

Ricardo Fofana Soyuncu Castagne is a title winning backline.

When you have genuinely top level individuals in your team you can win games that you don't even turn up in. If we keep him and Vardy fit we have potential to do really well this season regardless of some of the odd tactical moves lol

It’s actually almost felt embarrassing how good he is. At 19 he’s as good as I’ve ever seen it’s pretty incredible.

he oozes class and that darting run he did towards the end was as good as anything on pornhub!

What a prospect he will be. The second I watched him vs Villa I sat up out my chair and took notice. Only Kante have I ever thought this highly about on first impressions.

Kasper
Ricardo Forfana Soyuncu Castange
              Ndidi Tielemens

                  Maddison
          Under Vardy Barnes

Bench: Ward, Evans, Praet, Mendy, Albrighton, Nacho, Perez.
Gray, Hamza, Justin, Fuchs, Amarty, Morgan can’t even make the 18 with that squad!

Crazy really this squad!

Harry's lucky that his hole isn't being filled in the shower block in a Greek jail.

Keep saying it. He’s class. He’s better than soyuncu already and he’s younger! What a player

Think back to how long it took cags to settle in.  That first season he didn’t look like he would get to where he has when his opportunity arose - wes has slotted straight into a ‘foreign’ environment much faster than he would have expected to ....

his aggressive ‘step in’ approach is less risky in a three (think his failed attempt to nick the pass in front of Saka first half) so the coaching staff have work to do ..... but t’s a trait he cannot lose - that pass from Gabriel had so much pace on it that he misjudged it - v excited where this kid is heading .....
