Injuries at the club.

I'm not sure that matters because the professionals we've had at the club for the past 2 seasons have been useless.

Even so this is basic stuff. You spend 2 months out injured and not performing at the same level you physically cannot dive straight back into said level as the risk of injury is higher. Younger players can get away with it, older ones not so much and that's where the problem is.

If this were a Maddison or a Barnes i'd be more inclined to say its bad luck but a 35 year old Vardy needs to be managed better and more patiently.

Well its does really, as it means you don't really know how to manage a 35 professional footballer fitness

And as the rest of my post goes on to say neither do the professionals so the point you’re trying to make doesn’t hold as much weight as it should. If they knew what they were doing we’d have had far less injuries this season.

This is taking the p*** now.....it's beyond a joke now.... everyone was saying he should have bought Vardy on as an impact sub on Saturday instead of starting with him.

This is all on Brendan.

Can see the same issues happening next season with Brendan

Can you count the number of posts which said last Friday/Saturday that we shouldn’t start vards ??  if you can then it wasn’t everyone …..

It’s mad! Jota did his ankle ligaments the other week and somehow was back in 1 game. Ricardo sneezes and his out for 2 months!

Exactly this, it's the only thing thats been consistent this season.

I think the best return for players from injury should be over a 9 game plan.

Its very obvious Brendan destroyed this plan by playing Vardy for 20 minutes at Burnley for his return. Terrible call.

To keep all fans happy it should be

Game 1 = 10 mins

Game 2 = 20 mins

.

.

.

.

.

.

Game 9 = a full 90 mins.

Sorted.

Baring in mind you've followed Brendan on his travels do you not find it curious these horrendous injury problems follow him? He must be such an unlucky character and defies mathematical probability.

But surely, the fitter you are, the better you are able to resist the worst effects of impacts.

So you're better able to resist the impacts of an injury if you're match fit, but the only way to get match fit is to play and build up your resilience?

Hmmmm .....

There is such a thing as too much too soon. Whatever is happening its not working, whether it's Rodgers fault or not something has to give.

It's obviously not BRs fault, the physios and the player decides if they're fit or not.

Don't know what you're all getting worked up about anyway, this is classic mind games from BR, there's nowt wrong with Vardy, it's fake news to give Rennes a false sense of security, he'll start or will come on and Rennes will shit it.

...it is not the players call, players will always want to play, the physios and analyst are there to assess the likelihood of them breaking down in the match!!!

I agree with the fans’ comments here. We have a state of the art training center. We are supposed to have top notch sports science team who is supposed to ensure that our players stay in tip top condition and not get injured all the time! Tip top condition does not mean you run them to the max during training but it must include protecting them from injuries and prolonging their careers and time on the pitch. Someone is definitely not doing his/her job right! Maybe it starts with Rodgers’ training demands - making them over compete and over fight every hour in training and as a result they are getting more injury prone?

The players are multimillion dollar assets. We cannot afford for them to sit out 6 out of every 12 months.
