Maddison

Seems to be effecting games more now he’s been pushed further forward. To many times last season he was getting the ball on the halfway line with the opposition already back in position. Playing in between the lines and receiving the ball on the turn is what he does best.

Seems to have found a way to play as part of a front 3. Rodgers tried him there a few times last season without any affect.

Seems to have adapted his game, and Rodgers has adapted the style he's asking him to play. Rather than strictly playing on the left side of a front 3 he's reading when to come in to his more natural No10 role, much like Grealish to be fair. He's finding the space between the lines and isn't being picked up. This means we can squeeze him into the team without having play him too deep where the opposition have more time to nullify his threat.

The 2 positions playing behind Vardy are where are main threat comes from and being fluid is key to that working. Barnes, Maddison and Under have all shown flashes of what we can bring going forward. Shame that Perez doesn't seem to be able to offer the same fluidity because then we'd really have option to change things around. Barnes looks to be getting better all the time as more of a "striker" to support Vardy while Under and Maddison can switch from side to side and float around the middle.

Pretty sure he was playing a false 9 role for us towards the end last night. Can't recall us ever playing in that way previously. HIs ability to turn into space and win fouls is unparalleled in our squad and he's a very valuable player. Can't do it all on his own, but when he's got quality options to aim at (see the run from Under) he does deliver.

I don't think I've ever seen a Leicester player who is so good at turning with his first touch.

Every time he gets it, he seems to control the ball and turn 180 degrees in a blink of an eye, ready to lay off a quick pass.

Outstanding tonight. Hopefully he's back to full fitness now and can be starting PL matches again.

He seemed pretty confident he was back to full fitness after the game today. Said he's ready to go and play consistently afte missing out on England squad following injuries. Sounded genuinely gutted he's missed out on England team as well.

Is this really true? Seems unbelievable given how involved he is in our attacking play.

Have you not been watching games? I think he has played a role in a few other goals, and I am not putting him down, but the reality is he is not as “creative” as commentators and some fans have hyped him up to be. His set pieces are really not that good and consistent and his passes are not quite the Tielemans type with precision and weight generally a bit off, although I think his short passing is getting a little bit better in recent games.  I like his turning ability but he is not at level above Tielemans or even Under by the looks of things in terms of his passing abilities.

Just needs more minutes now and it looks like he's returning to the form that he showed 12 or so months ago. 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 EL games is a fantastic return.

I know he goes down easily, but he gets fouled an awful lot, especially in Europe. 13 fouls he's won in the 3 games. There was definitely 3 or 4 which weren't given too, I know it's sometimes annoying because he doesn't release the ball quick enough, but at other times it helps us just to slow the game down and retain possession.

...he claims he is a number 8, strange he does not acknowledge the number 10 role he is more suited for!!!

My only thought is that he intends to influence the National Coach who is reluctant to entertain this option.

...we say the same with Grealish and Ali, it is infuriating to watch, but I would rather they stayed on their feet!!!

They are players, that depends alot on close encounters balance, and creating their own & Team space...They are targetted & ist difficult to Stay on your feet

when you are being taken out or Stomped on..

Though it is Irritating & sometimes they go down ..lets say somewhat easier,  85% of the Time I do believe when tackled they are fouled & more difficult

to carry & Wear the tackle...Players, like Praet,Choudhury,Henderson,Noble,Ndidi,Rice  Run & Take the ball Technical different and are robust defending

their own space....Tielemans,Mount,Formino, are sort of in between...

I can watch this guy talk all day in interview. Such an infectious personality and speaks really well!

Glad to hear he’s enjoying his football here.

Yeah, he talks with confidence and intelligence. He doesn't just trot out the bland, scripted one-liners like most others, he's not afraid to say what he actually thinks and usually gives some genuine insight.
