Thing is with anyone having a go at Barnes is he had 2 on him everytime he had the ball and fuchs wouldn't overlap, probably under orders so we were useless down that left side unless Barnes performed a miracle. That coupled with justin unable to put in a ball, our attack was toothless

Very true. I've not seen it deployed that effectively other than by Man City and Liverpool. It's a bit of a shady dark art but is very very effective. When you lose the ball you have to either win it back immediately or give away a foul. We are naive in this area in my opinion.

Missing Praet. Tielemans became ineffective and poor. He didn’t seem to want the ball or move it forward (except the last 10 mins).

 

Under - best player off - baffled.  Perez did well though and at least he tried to do something. He should have come on for Maddison (who had a poor second half) instead to play the role that he does better in behind the striker.  If Praet came on as well for Mendy maybe we could have taken the game on more from central midfield. But tonight we had no aggression in the center. Very poor.

Painful to watch. Other than Ndidi's performance, there was nothing good. Too slow, passes hit too hard to control, or not accurate enough. Worrying thing is I fully expected that scoreline. Whether it's fatigue but all the small things just going wrong, Schmeichel clearance straight into touch; Fofana putting it out for a corner. A spanking from Spurs awaits.

Still think Morgan should have been put at the back and Wilfred moved into his best position. 

Youri and Madders were non existant as they were receiving the ball too deep. 

As been said, Kasper mistake, Vardy miss = fine margins. 

 

Can't believe how, 2nd, we had a spell where Kasper made a bad pass out to our right back and gave away a throw Youri ran into trouble and conceded a free kick. 

We must have had the ball in our half, unable to get out for about 10 minutes which eventually lead to their 2nd goal.

It's worrying how easily beaten we are in games like these, I had no confidence we'd get back into it even at 0-1.

Fair play to Everton but they got every single margin going their way and it was a game of very fine margins.

 

Still a decent team we have going and can't wait to play with our best defence at some point.

Fair point. What I meant really was uncharacteristic errors by our keeper and frontman, who make very few. It’s the old fine margins cliche I like to rollout. Like Fulham, when we hit the woodwork twice in the same move. One of them flew in we likely win.
