What an absolute joke.  There should now be Parliamentry interference to sort this out and every corrupt willy puller involved in that decision needs to be removed form any position of power in the PL.

Absolutely sickening and yet another nail in the coffin of football.  As if they give 2 ****s about the future £20m fine.  I think I am about done with football.  I may come back once it becomes about supporting my team again rather than the tv biliions!

Future fine is 20m and 30 points deduction

of course if you’re signed up to a new super league outside of the champions league then that won’t bother you (unless you’ve only amassed 50/60 points in which case you may be relegated )

There needs to be a wide ranging review into the governance of football. Fans should expect fairness and transsparency in the administration of the game.

I thought it was £20m fine each but now realise it's between all six; this is a disgraceful drop in the ocean when you see the prize money for last season. Made even worse by being able to negotiate your own clubs punishment (surely the other 14 clubs should have been consulted.

The fine is nearly equivalent in monetary terms to only dropping two places but without the consequential impact on european football.

This whole charade is outrageous.

There is only One Collection of punishment...

6 clubs banned from Europe for 2 seasons..

Other SLeague ideologists...ditto..

NO CL competition for EUEFA vor 2 seasons..

All Champions only agree separate competition For 2 seasons...

Even with "our" Top 4 & Spurs "qualified" for CL & Conference-EL but banned...

No "nearly-teams" should be Promoted into those places.

WHam/Leicester still to Play EL..

14- S.League Club-owners, Clubs,nations- FAs club-Fans and EUEFA must Take 100% Blame  by association...

Should be punished....

Or stop & cancel every Bullshit fines & pts reduction to smaller leagues & clubs....

There is no Balance or Fairness in modern Football.....The Super-league mentality and regulations, already exsist..

Bare in mind that with the "Project Big Picture" proposals that man United and Liverpool were hawking that they were trying to change the premier league's voting rules to give the big 6 the power to outvote the other 14 clubs, so not only did they try to form a super league and undermine the premier League, they tried to sneak in additional powers ahead of what they were planning so they would get away with no punishment at all. They've absolutely taken the piss out of the rest of English football and deserve the harshest punishments going, but will essentially get off scott-free. They are a pox on the game, if it was up to me I'd ban the lot of them from football permanently.

I always thought financial punishment was pointless. The owners of these clubs are multi billionaires (Kronke owns a farm twice the size of Greater London, and in the case of Man City, State funded), and any fine would be peanuts to them.

The only viable way to punish them is the formation of an independent body that oversees the running of football in this country.

Really weak from the premier league. Basically they have got away with it and now know their punishment for when they do it again. Why would a 30 point deduction and 25m stop them when they would earn 700m in the first year and don't care about the premier league? Should have been instant expulsion from the premier league if they do it again and 100m fines as it would cover the other 14 losses.

What did you all expect?

The big six bring in all the money to the Premier League at the end of the day.

Personally just hope the money is filtered to clubs in need lower down the pyramid as opposed to the £3.5m to each club being pocketed by the billionaires and millionaires that own the other 14 clubs.

Edit; I read this bolded bit wrong in the article. I thought it was £3.5m to each of the other 14 clubs as opposed to £3.5m from each of the greedy 6. Have since read it's due to be handed out to grassroots football though which is good.

As was proved by Man City, just over a year ago, these clubs have extremely good lawyers that go through so many aspects of each deal and can wriggle their way out of everything.

This ESL wasn't written on the back of a beer mat in weatherspoons a couple of months ago, this arrangement was carefully planned by these clubs over a long period and all fine details were checked over with a fine comb.

Each of these clubs new EXACTLY what they were signing up for, and to say sorry, just isn't good enough.

They've made out they're sorry to their supporters groups etc after some protests but, if they thought about the fans, they would have been consulted during the early stages.

I will give all 6 clubs a proper boo next season at the KP😄

They'll all get silly fines.

The equivalent of fining me a fiver.

There will be no dropping down leagues or point reductions.

Oh, Scanchez..

You're so wise.

Why do the big boys mock you so?

They should strip them of power in the premier league, suspend representatives from having a vote for something like 5 years and there should be a government and fan led body that has power to stop any such like changes in future and create laws to back them up. Refusing the clubs licenses etc to play in their own stadiums if they attempt it again, basically locking them out their own stadiums.

Peanuts, absolutely derisory!!

Let's hope these Clubs try it again when the imposition, according to the game's hierarchy, will be "a fine of £25M each and a 30 points deduction".

What was the problem of introducing that sanction now?!!

Well that’s Spurs transfer budget gone right there. That’ll teach em eh?

You couldn’t write it it’s so ludicrous and so painfully predictable. Absolute morons will reap what they sow.
