Excited, can't quite believe we're in an FA Cup Final. 

Nervous, desperate to win it. Feel sick and emotional. 

 

Absolutely nothing like my wedding day. Had all that planned and under control, certain of the out come and that it was going to be enjoyable.

Reading a lot of the posts on here and watching the vids, has made me incredibly emotional. 

 

Like many others I've watched them over 4 decades and have witnessed so many FA Cup disappointments. 

 

I've thought about myself, my family and so many others that have followed the Foxes but are no longer around to experience this special day. 

 

My dad's in a care home now, but lived and breathed Leicester City and took me up from Bedford to games from the mid 70's and got me hooked, which led to me forcing my kids to follow them😄

 

Im not sure if the old fox will take much of it in, but like many of his generation, it would be fantastic for the club to lift that beautiful trophy because, for the older lot, the FA Cup is THE TROPHY. 

 

Let's bring it to the city for the 1st time

Phone battery is already knackered. Mind, I have been on it since about 5.00am. The messages of support and warmth coming out of the woodwork from

people I’d lost contact with is simply overwhelming.

No nerves at all just glad we are there! And also just gonna let my bet run £50 on us at 18/1. Cash out 332 not taken, let it run what will be will be! Gonna enjoy it with a few bottles of beer

I envy you your phlegmatism.

 

Yesterday I was excited, even a bit giddy.  Today I'm scared.  I'm shaking like a shitting dog.

Going to go for a run to clear my head. First hoovering the house,  f**k me I just want the game to end lol and for us to win! When your Smiling! Come on City!

This morning is really dragging it heels. I keep looking at the clock wondering what time to get showered and dressed. I don't want to get to the coaches too early, but I don't want to be too late.

 

I've got my little man bag with my ticket (and a 2nd copy just in case) wallet and mask in, I've checked that bag about 4 or 5 times now. Got my phone charger in the hope the coach i get on has a charging point so I can watch football focus on the way down! I've been through my emails to know where my confirmation email is for my ticket and covid test.

 

I've got 3 shirts laid out on the bed, our home shirt, my jade and navy retro shirt and the maroon shirt, can't decide which one to wear, probably the maroon as that's what we're playing in today, but I can actually see me taking all 3 lol

 

Nervous excitement doesn't even come close to how I'm feeling.

 

I've been though my usual match day routines, which is actually quite odd as they haven't properly been carried out since we last attended a match 14 months ago!

 

What a day this is, it's a day football fans dream of and thankfully at least a few thousand of us can be there to witness it. 

 

Whether your at Wembley, watching in a pub or watching at home, we're all in this together, history is there to be made

I'm feeling outrageously positive this morning.

 

I'm convinced we're going to win.

 

We'll want it more than them today I'm 100% sure.

Feel like I did on the Sunday morning before the trip to Old Trafford in 2016, I am 47 and nervous as hell, still got a mention for all the blues heading to Wembley by Kenny Hague on Fosse radio this morning. ;)

 

Safe journey folks and lets make our end like it was in Brugges on that night.

Strangely feel more nervous about the top 4 race than this game, but would prefer the cup if I had to choose (obvs want both). Which is a weird paradox.
 

Was supposed to be watching the big game with the old man and fam, but my better half has tested Covid positive so got to self isolate.  Will be weird watching the game on my own :beer:but super excited and hoping the players put in a big performance to make up for it :scarf:

I want this day to last. Woke.at 5.30am excited. I had nice bike ride upnto bradgate. Done some.pottering in garden. Now sat having a cuppa. 

 

Almost all my immediate neighbours have decked their houses out.

Feeling ok. Sort of positive,  but crapping it too. 

Not as worried by Chelsea as I thought I'd be. Can't work out if that's a good thing or a bad thing. 

First football memory is of the Spurs final 60 years ago. For all intents and purposes I'm that little kid again today.

Thinking of my Dad and all the great City fans who would have loved to see our blue ribbons on that Cup, but never did. 

Come on City!!!

Stomach is in bits, reckon I'll spend most of the day on the toilet. Wish I bought the ticket now but pub is booked for 12pm so hopefully that will settle the nerves!

Feeling everything; scared, proud, emotional, hopeful. Just want the clock to get round now. Between now and kick-off is just a state of suspension where I'm not really functioning properly and can't set my mind to do anything. Look out of window, look at phone, drink coffee (which will turn to beer at some point), repeat.
