White may well be brilliant for them, but realistically what resale value would he actually have? Maguire had one season under his belt and we got him for £12m. Two seasons later we sold him at a £60m profit (minus sell-on clause to Hull). Could White become a £100m player? Their record sale is still Marc ****ing Overmars 21 years ago. Arsenal aren’t overly interested in resale value. If he’s good they’ll keep him and not sell him as there are few teams who can buy their players.
