Have you not worked it out yet, we just don't have the money.

Well, apparently we could have had Sima for 7 million, and that would have been a considerably more ambitious move.

It's official; the 'look man' pun has been done. It can be forgotten now.

(and it wasn't even very good/original/creative in the first place :P)

Could you go in the Ayoze Perez thread and tell everyone we already know they think he's shit.

Not happy it's a one year loan deal with an option to buy. I know the fee will be set in stone for that option but I always fear a loan deal going so well we could lose them. Had so many sleepless nights wondering if we'd get Tielamans as it was.

I'm not excited about this, but we must give the lad a fair chance to prove himself.

I'm sure our fans will give him 5 minutes to prove himself don't worry.

One thing to remember folks is when we won the league with, on the face of it, a bunch of underwhelming rejects and has beens. Unfashionable players can come good and often turn out better than the exciting deadline day Beckfords. Keep the faith!

Why is that more ambitious?

Mad to think we could have sold Sowah and got Sima and money left over.

Because a foreigner no one has hardly seen play is way more exciting to all the 12 year olds than an English bloke who was on loan at Fulham.

A player able to beat a defender and transition from defence to attack is massively what we’ve missed on the right! We’ve became far to predictable having only Barnes as a forward thinking wide man who can do that… I genuinely think lookman will be an excellent addition, the potential link up between Riccy P and the main man is already giving me a stonner

Agree, despite Fulham's struggles last season, Lookman was a standout performer in the games I watched, and seemed to have loads of potential. Who knows if he'll work out or not, but I could see him doing a real job for us. I'll be really pleased if this gets over the line.

(Actually, I think we have had a really good transfer window overall in terms of arrivals, especially if Lookman signs, which is currently being masked by the nightmarish defensive problems we face.)

I think he could do well for us. As a fan base we shouldn’t shoot players down before they’ve settled in it won’t help.

But I thought that was what we're here for?

@Chocolate Teapot told me about this a couple of weeks ago. Elite level ITK, put some respect on his name.

He's about as much use as a ........😉

Good call then!

Personally I think this is a cracking move by us, he's a young kid that stood out in a struggling Fulham side sliding out the division!

Imagine how he feels arriving at our World Class facility,  much higher quality players around him and top coaches honing his raw talent?

We have nothing to lose but the club and him potentially have a lot to gain!

What recent signings in the past 7 years since we've been in the Premier League were you excited about?

Ive always liked Lookman. Looks to have something about him. Think he may thrive for us. Rumours of arrogance coming from him though but im sure Rodgers can get him working hard for the team.

He cant be any worse than Perez

I'm happy with this signing personally.

That's because you are realistic and know it fits our recruitment model.....people talking about Sima need to remember we've already gambled on 2 players whove never played in Prem before so we can't do it with a 3rd player.

not really

squad signing but he won’t be lifting us to the top 4

and that’s the signing we have missed out on

What signing is that?

Gray probably better..but didn't get a good run in the side with us!..all he needed was his confidence building and a good run of games. Absolute bargain at 1.7m.

That vardy who came from the conference and that Mahrez from french second division were both such unambitious signings that we shouldn’t have gone for and would only ever be cover and we only got them because we were panic buying and scrapping the barrel.

Ffs some people on here he might turn out to be brilliant trust the manager ,trust the recruitment team, give the player time and don’t write him off before he has even kicked a ball for us

I swear there are people on this forum that genuinely think we should be in for players like Ronaldo, Messi, Lukaku, Sancho.....I mean why wouldn't they come to Leicester....we nearly finished top 4, won the FA Cup and won the league 5 years ago.....it doesn't make any sense

Hope this works well for both parties.

Bit disappointed though that it’s another season where again we’re trying a square peg in a round hole.

One day we’ll go for an actual right winger I’m sure lol

Think I got more excited about Hudson-Odoi, but whether there was any truth in that I’m not sure. Always give every player a chance but we’re a very good club now and costly mistakes aren’t tolerated for long around here. Think he’ll be useful addition just need next summer to be one of real XI improvement. Clear the target was depth this summer but hopefully we can push on and get that prestige RW

Gray had plenty of minutes but just didn't put performances in, he was unplayable when it came to starting, that's nits to say he couldn't do it, just wasn't ever going to do it for us
