At this point, it's clear the gulf between EL and ECL is nowhere near that of the CL and EL. This can be seen with PSV actually playing in the CL this season, and then ending up in the ECL.

Or more to the point, you’d fancy us beating anyone in the last 4 Europa league.

Pinch me now! Matches like this are what we fans live for. I expect another tie like Rennes and PSV. Two great matches and a great tie. Mourinho no doubt will wind up the mind games too and I for one look forward to it!

 

Funny how this competition has gone from

afterthought to genuinely emotional so quickly. Massively fun competition to be involved in!

I honestly think the Conference is great. Interesting sides, all evenly matched, great locations, good standard of football.

 

Champions League is great but it's mostly the same (brilliant) teams. The Conference feels more dynamic, a little like the Championship.

 

Even if we don't win it, I think  it's a welcome edition to European football

Not sure if it comes over on telly but it was the kind of bloody awesome atmosphere that you get at “big” games. It’s in the air and everyone in that stadium could feel that.

He’s really not that overrated, appreciate Serie A is a different league but he’s had a stellar season there which English players seldom do in their debut season abroad. He may not be a world beater but he’s hardly a muppet. He’s not to be sniffed at outside of the greedy 6 teams/Europa league teams.

KP has to be turned into a seriously intense atmosphere for the 1st leg. I know we don’t have the massive capacities of many of these other euro clubs but we can still make it electric! Roma have never played us or been to the KP so let’s give ‘em something to remember. Get the lead early and dominate then prepare for the inevitable slug fest in Rome.

Looking at teams gone through in all European competitions, there is the chance (albeit slim) that all European cups will be won by an English team. How amazing would that be? shows the strength of the premier League. 

 

Now watch every English team fail at the next step.

Would have taken him in a heart beat. An upgrade on Iheanacho ( contentious )
