Really getting jealous of Spurs being so active in the transfer market. They used to be sign players on the last day of the deadline, but under Conte and DOF Paratici they know who they they want and gone straight in.

Now reading they're near to signing the master of shithousery Richarlson  and also interested in signing striker Lautaro Martinez from Milan if he wants to leave.

While we seem to pages and pages of posts on certain players we are interested in but that's about it ........😒

 

Brendan doesn't seem to have the pulling power...

Get a grip. Spurs have a billion pound stadium and loads of cash. Of course they can just go and buy players.  We have to sell before we buy and are a mid table club. Most of our targets will be waiting to see if they can get a champions league clubs before deciding to us. That puts us further down the food chain and time line.

I would say it is a lot more likely that PSV are planning for the inevitable departure of Madueke, and possible Roan as well, rather than deeming them disposable and wanting rid.

You don't have to say it again - we've all heard it a thousand times.

 

It may be true that in most cases, quality players cost a lot of money, but it's not always the case. Players sometimes want to move and their club decides they'd rather a cut-price sale than the unhappy player (as is likely the case with Madueke), players run their contracts down and clubs have to sell for less than they'd like (like Youri and Cags), players sometimes just don't fit in at their club and look a totally different player after a move, and sometimes a quality player is discovered playing for an obscure club that isn't in a position to ask for much for a player unproven at a higher level.

 

I don't think we're likely to take a punt on another non-league striker or French 2nd division winger again any time soon - we're not shopping in that market anymore. That's not to say that great players that won't cost the Earth aren't out there, though. They almost certainly are. It's not out of the question that we find one.

Richarlison is a real badass , but is the ideal foil for sneaky Son and " not me guv" Harry so one thing Spurs won't lack is attitude. Their defense though still needs a kingpin , we shall see if they get one. If they do they will challenge.
