Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers: "We didn't do enough when we had the ball. We didn't show enough personality and didn't show the quality to win the game.

"You have to give all the credit to Kilmarnock. They defended strongly, got their blocks in and took one of the few chances they had in the game.

"I have to analyse ourselves, though, and the quality wasn't good enough in the game."

He used ‘personality’ and ‘quality’ this time. Presume he used ‘intensity’ when they next mess up.

Typical Brendan word salad.

Lost 1-0 to Kilmarnock today resulting in a second round exit from the league cup.

It's a shame Rangers are so useless.

Couple of Celtic Twitter accounts:

“Now the dust has settled...

The MAIN concern for me is the shift from an aggressive to a slower build-up play.

That isn't something signings will fix and I think it's something Rodgers is going to have to look at and address quickly.

His marker is Ange this time; not Ronny.”

And:

“Plank this in Rodgers office until he subliminally accepts that his possession based football is outdated and easily beaten by disciplined footballers with limited ability.“

:giggle:

Genuinely hope this spell ends his career.

You watch, he will walk at the end of this window if he doesn't get his way and will spin it as the board not delivering on their promises when he signed the contract to try and save face.

With almost all our former managers, I either want them to suceed elsewhere or I simply don't care how they get on. I was chuffed for Claudio when he won promotion a couple of months ago. I have also been gutted for Nige that it hasn't properly worked out for him elsewhere since. With Puel I didn't particularly care what happened to him at St Etienne either way. However, with Rodgers things are very much difference. He has essentially turned me into a Rangers fan. Something that I never thought that I would say.

He'll flop like a damp old rag this season but still chat his way into a well-paid job in Saudi.

Agree 100% with every word of this.
