“Vestergaard was not suited to play a highline”

“He is playing very high up the pitch under Maresca”

“the way we now play has mitigated his deficiencies.”

These statements appear contradictory.

He’s now a fixture in a team that plays very high up the pitch. Is the reason that we can accommodate him because EM’s team are organised so much more effectively? Is it because Championship teams are less capable of punishing us in transition? Has Vestergaard’s form dramatically improved? or a combination of all these?

...perhaps the first line of my post should have been a question mark, that was how it should have been read!!!

I am not contradicting myself, I am saying he is doing something now, that was perceived to have been his shortcomings. This is down to the way that we play now. Perhaps a combination of all the things that you have listed, but importantly the way we protect him by keeping possession and the work of the players ahead of him.

Coady describes the £100m complex as “like Center Parcs”

The good thing about this is that if everything goes wrong and the club has to fold then we have something to fall back on.

Great idea . “ Take the kids for a short break . Well not necessarily a break maybe just an ACL . Enjoy a bit of mum and dad time whilst the youngsters play in the cryochamber”

Where has this guy been?!

I mean on the bench obviously but went hasn't he featured much? I thought he would have been nailed on starting.

Injured and Vestergaard is better

My guess is that Enzo doesn't like him as he's not a 'footballing' centre half.

He’s a good passer and was signed by Maresca. Guardiola was always complimentary of Coady, not to the level of wanting to sign him though.

Anyone with eyes can tell that Vestergaard is the better option and has earned his place as a starter in the side IMO.

Nah, Vestergaard is just undroppable at the moment, he has been absolutely superb. Faes too.

Sure he'll get minutes with the schedules over the festive period and Vesty is already on 9 yellows too. He'll be needed but he's not currently part of our best 11.

If the thought is that Vestergaard is the better option for the team best we start him v Millwall and just before the game ends he pulls a player back to earn that 10th yellow, if he gets it after Wednesday he’s missing the Ipswich game

does not look comfortable on the ball

I thought he looked OK. Also, there's mitigating circumstances here.

Thought he was fine. Played the pass to Daka that led to the goal and didn't look a liabilty at the back against one of the paciest teams in the championship.
