and jurisdiction AND breaking the law in the progress.

I just don't understand how you can have a league where it is written into the rules that some clubs are able to spend more than other clubs. It is anti-competitive. The fact that Leicester "have cheated" by spending too much - despite having spent far less than other clubs in the same division is what really annoys me, as it is baking in an advantage for certain clubs. 

 

It is distasteful that the whole premise of it is to prevent clubs from going out of business, like Bury etc. And yet, if clubs are spending too much, rather than try and help them manage this, the response is to deduct points, push them towards relegation (or at least hurt their position prize money) - which is only going to push clubs closer to going out of business.

 

And while I'm at it, if they are going to run it this way, why can't they just have a period before the season starts where they review the latest set of accounts and set penalties if appropriate, so teams know where they stand at the start of the season. The 3 different announcements of points deductions this year is no way to run an amateur league - let alone one of the biggest leagues in the World.

It's a mugs game trying to predict how promoted teams will get on, there's too many variables.

 

What I will say though is that staying up is not difficult and I don't want to hear endless guff about impossible tasks and mountains to climb. The bottom 6 or 7 of the PL are doggo and we only need to finish above half of them. You don't need 40 points most of the time.

 

Might be in a minority here but i don't consider starting on -6 to be a valid excuse for going down next season. -10 or more and I'd accept it.

Just been listening to this on the way up to the game. Had to turn it off. Almost launched my phone out the window when they said our transfers were questionable last summer. We had a great window last summer as far as I’m concerned.

Why do you even subscribe now?! Questioning Maresca is fair enough but I seem to remember them spouting some absolute nonsense about us when they were posted on here. 

 

In the age of social media, YT, podcasts etc, we're lucky to get access to so many decent alternative 'news' outlets but even then only about 1/10 of them that gain any traction, is actually made up of credible people. These guys might have a decent following but clearly their opinions are so ill informed that they've absolutely fluked their way to some success

Saying we had a bad summer window when we probably had one of the best windows in the league!

 

They predicted Burnley were more likely to be top half than relegated this time last year by the way.
