France have sort of wasted some great years for this squad on Deschamps tbh.

 

He's obviously a good manager in the traditional sense, he's done really well to get this squad and manage it through three consecutive world cups. 

 

But he's sub par as a coach in the world of systems football. He's a bit like Zidane. He'll get the team together and motivated and if they can then win on their quality alone he's fine. But if he's got to tactically outplay an opposition coach he's just a bit of a dinosaur. 

 

Can you imagine their group of players with someone like Luis Enrique in charge?

Spain are just a great team. Solid, and have real quality in their team too. Winning just seems a formality for them, seems like it’s just another day at the office.
