Unabomber Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 MTWG cropping the perfect pics since mid to late 2013.
lgfualol Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 That game was a snorefest But a win is positive. Would like Sterling to go where Welbeck goes.
GingerrrFox Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 I genuinely think that they should experiment with Milner at right back. He can't be any worse than Johnson who is an accident waiting to happen. I'd like to see Barkley occupy the position Rooney was in tonight (who looked terribly out of form and fitness).
xHamzah Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Just got back and the highlight of the game for me was when someone in the top tier threw a paper plane (something almost everyone was trying) and hit the Peru defender in the back of the head, still astonished till this moment. MANAGED TO FIND THE CLIP!! Other than that it was a pretty boring game but the pace and intent of the attacks picked up once Wilshere, Sterling and Barkley came on. Those 3 have to start alongside Lallana and we may actually win a game deservedly.

MC Prussian Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Congratulations on winning convincingly. Friendlies shouldn't be underestimated, especially not the ones before a World Cup. Paper planes aside, how you do characterize that Peru lot on the pitch? We're playing them next Tuesday in preparation for our group game against Ecuador.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Uruguay won only 1 nil against Northern Ireland who had only one win in 20. They must be complete rubbish! can see us easily getting three points there.... As friendlies just so tell you just how good a team is. Yet we win 3-0 playing a different style to what we normally play knowing that we must not play at a high tempo and people still complain. We did a good job for a warm up game, there were positives and some good play but that doesn't mean I don't see the negatives either. Hopefully we can tighten up a bit at the back, Italy will be a similar hard team to break down but will possess far more quality going forward. On a whole, I'm quite positive with what I saw yesterday though

MANAGED TO FIND THE CLIP!! That American woman needs banning from every football stadium in the world.
Bert Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 The reaction of the fans is brilliant, apart from the yank!
Corky Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 John Salako on Sky Sports took up the baton for negativity after an England victory last night, sounded very fed up that we won 3-0. It wasn't thrilling but it was ok, the set pieces were dangerous and Sturridge scored a great goal. Leave on a plus note and on to the next two games.
Corky Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Italy drew 0-0 with Ireland tonight, maybe their ex-players will be miserable as sin too?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Italy drew 0-0 with Ireland tonight, maybe their ex-players will be miserable as sin too? People's response... England win 3-0 we are shite Uruguay struggling Italy struggle but they are just taking it easy....
ScouseFox Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 yeah but we played welbeck in our friendly so swings and roundabouts innit
Leicesterpool Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 yeah but we played welbeck in our friendly so swings and roundabouts innit Yeah good point but anyway it doesn't really matter how you perform in the warm ups, we go into the world cup looking quite crap and actually do well or we could go into it looking good and come out poor. For me last nights game was treated like a training match rather than a friendly, it was all about fitness and keeping possession. The next two friendlies will be interesting.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 That reaction is great when it hits the defender. The odds of it hitting any player must be so slim!!!
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 So we can thrown things onto the pitch aslong as they can't cause injuries?
purpleronnie Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 So we can thrown things onto the pitch aslong as they can't cause injuries? cheer up
Stadt Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 So you can throw paper aeroplanes at players but not sandwich bags at stairs?
Kinowe Soorie Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 So you can throw paper aeroplanes at players but not sandwich bags at stairs? You'll get both!
