I swear that someone said our club doesn't want to have players on large wages as other players might be unhappy over this.

I'm sure that they would dunerstand, and rather keep vardy here then let him go out of selfishness, besides, it would ddbe an incentive to them, the likes of drinkwater, Mahrez, et al would also be in line for a rise at the end of the year

Would you rather be in a successful team where some are earning way more than you or a mediocre/losing team where everyone is paid the same as the weakest player.

 

I used to manage a team of highly paid engineers who were nearly all on more than me, it didn't bother me because I recognised they had skills that were hard to come by and ensured that the team I managed was successful.

I believe he would have been on more, top non league players can get upto 6-700 a week. Vardy wasn't part-time at fleetwood he was one of the full time professionals

A friend of mine played for Alfreton Town and they were in the same league as Fleetwood and he was on £500 a week and he was only part time.

Vardy would have been closer to a £1000 a week as like you said he was full time and one of the better players in the league.

I really hope he doesn't go; he won't be exactly young by the time the tournament comes round and he'll deserve much-needed rest if he continues his club form.

If you can't go to the Euros at aged 28/29 and not be fit for the next season you should probably quit the game.

Look at what Morgan did during the summer, he played two tournaments getting to the final of one. And he's over 30.

He'll be 29 and barely play if he does go, not exactly draining.

I hope he goes, but only for him, not for England, unless they prove that they appreciate his qualities.

You know, I think Roy's secretly got a soft spot for Vardy.

 

Is it on the bench when any other striker who can't be dropped becomes miraculously free from injury?

It's the perfect end to the film that'll be made about him.

 

He'll come's on in the final :blink::unsure: 75th minute for Rooney who's having an awful game (No surprise) with the game at 1-1, England getting battered, backs against the wall, corner after corner for the opposition, 3 added time goes up on the board, Vardy gets the ball, runs the whole length of the field, dribbling round every playing on the pitch, rounds the keeper and scores to win the European Championship.

 

:crylaugh: England in a final...imagine that...Everything else is quite believable and predictable but I took it too far suggesting getting to the final, way too far.

Wait, you forgot the bit about getting his leg broken and having to play on as we've used all our substitutions.
