He's a lovely touch player. Some of his short passing was sublime first half. He looks to be a similar style to David Silva.

I'm still not sure however if he has the physicality and the pace to compete in the Premiership.

I am working on the assumption that he gets hooked because the management are trying to work him in slowly - the fact he's starting seems to indicate that he's an important player in the plans, to me anyway.

Always want to see Iborra play too, but I suspect opposition got on to him and pressed him into too many errors.

I’m not convinced with any of our midfielders, they all seem to have flaws especially giving the ball away very cheaply. Silva seems to be a yard off the pace, I know he hasn’t played but I am starting to wonder if he’s good enough for the premier League.

I haven’t looked through previous posts but was Silva injured at half time yesterday? If he wasn’t Puel has had a mare with the change....:(

The only injury at HT was to Puel's brain!

We got destroyed after he went off. Some of his play with Diabate was sublime.

Diabate looks scarily promising. More game time and training and he could be brilliant

Neither does David silva, you have contradicted yourself mid sentence

Give him a full pre-season and I'm convinced he'll cement himself into the starting 11.

You can already see flashes of real quality and good combinations with other players but at the same time he looks dead on his feet on ocassions.

it takes time to get used to the speed of the premier league & playing 30/40 minutes here and there won't help him adapt any quicker.

Patience, people.

He's a quality player and will prove it in time.

James, on the other hand, will never be more than a third-rate plodder.

Give him a full season under his belt for us and he will show his quality, for a lot of players it takes a full season to adjust to the Premier League.

We aren’t good enough on flanks defending to have just Iborra as a defensive midfielder we will be ripped apart.

silva was ok yesterday but he was exposed a little and seemed to be tired at halftime but it’s early days yet he could come on leaps and bounds for this season

We need two quality full backs , chilwell is regressing the amount of mistakes he is making is alarming and for me Simpson isn’t good enough for top half of premier league

harry Maguire was found out a little yesterday as well , disappointed how many he times he should have just played the ball but instead tried to waltz out and gave it away or put us in a worse position

it was a dire second half , but they are probably the best team in Europe right now

Claude made poor calls , the team made poor calls and the 100 people in block 313 who sat down in the away end made poor calls !!

a very poor call by all !

You’re missing the point,  I mentioned a certain team earlier

Basically a back 4 with Amartey/McGuire/Dragovic and Fuchs,

Silva, Ndidi , Iborra in midfield,

The wide  men of Mahrez and Albrighton and Dibate in the hole with Vardy

Ndidi has such an engine he will be our box to box midfielder.

He plays a lot better with Iborra, which shocks me why Iborra doesn’t get picked.

I think that’s our best side by a country mile, what do you think?

I don't think I have, David has proven himself a Premiership player over a few seasons now. However I do see where you're coming from. He's lucky that he plays in a team where others do the graft for him. but when h gets on the Ball he rarely wastes it.

Man City can afford to indulge him because of the quality of their other players. We don't have that luxury yet. ( But we are getting closer )

Adrian Silva I feel still has to prove himself a Premiership player. We'll know more when he gets clattered a few times. But he certainly looked a tidy player yesterday first half.

He’s going to be let down by his team mates. He actually tries to pass the ball forward and drive with it. Alongside Diabate and Vardy, they were the only players who thought it might be worth attacking Man City with our limited possession

Either your appalled by Schmeichels performance and plan to play without a GK or hoping the ref won't notice us fielding 12 players.
