Burnley have a 20% sell on clause for Ings.

Well that's OK then, because he didn't provide any help. And he wouldn't here.

Considering he got injured in his first few matches I think, maybe even first match, it wouldn't be fair to judge him based on that.

Still a tidy profit for Liverpool for someone who didn’t do anything there

Always great business when you buy someone who has essentially been a flop and you still make a profit on them.

A bit like us getting our money back on Ahmed Musa or selling Tom Lawrence.

Or Adrian Silva and Islam Slimani :fc:

With Silva we have little chance of getting our money back but maybe a squeak at best.

It will take a minor miracle to get our money back on Slimani. :D

But they’re both amazing players that are worth every penny.

Not without risk, but he is an upgrade on nacho which is something.  He is clearly capable, but obviously would be a gamble with fitness issues.

But remember we gambled on huth and it turned out rather well.

Silva is a very good player, and he’s proving that at Monaco. He got screwed here literally from the moment we botched his transfer.

Still think on a free this would be a good idea.

He can play wide and cover for Vardy up front if he got injured.

He's one of those that if he's fit and firing he's a brilliant player. It's just getting him to that point.

The game has passed him by. It's a no from me.

He's looked pony vs Huddersfield and Newcastle in recent weeks. Difficult to see him coming here and having enough momentum to find his form, he'd he bit part at best.

Massive wage, attitude stinks, doesn't always look bothered, getting on age-wise. Would rather take a gamble on a  younger striker with a positive attitude. Edit: Che Adams.

Maybe we can do a Man City sell Slimani on then put a buy back clause in for him just like Man City did for that prolific goal scorer they sold us ??

The f**king wind is more effective than Nacho.

A fuching Martian wind (you may have to look up why that would be).

Always like Sturridge as a player but think injuries have taken their toll on him and his legs look to be gone, doesn't have that same pace or sharpness now and I guess there would also be question marks over his hunger given he's sat on the Liverpool bench quite the thing for a few years now. I'd avoid.
