Tielemans63 Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 Got to be honest, I'd be fuming if that was us and we didn't get a pen there.
purpleronnie Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 The fact that we can't agree on here means the decision was right. 2
smitha Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 Based o the early game If Silva's wasn't then that was definitely not a pen.
EastNeukFox Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 Didn’t look to be much contact, until Kane decided to mount him!! 1
UniFox21 Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 Think VAR is only correcting a decision if it is clearly wrong. As in smack bang in your face, incredibly wrong. Guess the FA were scared of taking the role of the ref out of it
TheUltimateWinner Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 Guess VAR is only used for accidental handballs no one really cares about
kingfox Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 Risky from Lascelles but hardly any contact, Kane just falls on top of him.
Finnegan Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 I hate Harry Kane as much as anyone but if you're going to try and claim that's not a pen, you're biased enough to be embarrassing yourself tbh. 3
UniFox21 Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 Joelinton is actually playing well, very strong player.

I've said loads of times, I'm really pro technology, we need VAR, it's the future. But it's been really ****ing badly handled by the FA so far. They're just using it to defend their refs. That's obviously a penalty ffs. Over turn it. I thought this as well. Arrogance is the only reason they can not give that.
ARTY_FOX Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 (edited) Well done VAR. Kane falls over trying to lean on someone no longer there. Edited 25 August 2019 by ARTY_FOX 1
foxfanazer Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 No shot on target for the mighty wolves so far

I don't think it was a stone wall pen. If ref had given it, no way is it over turned as there was contact. But I can see why it wasn't given.
UniFox21 Posted 25 August 2019 Posted 25 August 2019 The tangle with Sanchez and Muto at half way was the same almost as the penalty shout. Not a foul there, so not a pen. 1

Personally I don’t think there was enough contact for Kane to fall down in that way. I agree, the challenge was poor but Kane's chance of scoring wasn't great so he looked for something to make a meal of rather than stay on his feet and try to score.
