Yeah, I don't think tonight proves he'll be a huge success long-term but at least he's off the mark, couple of great finishes and hopefully he'll have a burst of goals now.

I have been perhaps the fiercest critic of his transfer, so I will just say this - he did get dispossessed on the edge of our penalty area and teed up a shooting chance for them, so lightweight etc...

His 2nd and 3rd goals were phenomenal.

 

2nd goal, is all about technique. You can't hit it hard, you have to hit it straight and true and time it to perfection. And to do it in the pouring rain on a slippery surface was great.

 

3rd goal is even better for me. The chest control and then sweeping it in with his left foot. Class of the highest order.

 

It's taken him far too long to get going, but if that's what he can do, he will be a star for us. There are not many players in the whole league that can finish like that.
