ToeKneeHandCock Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 I’m actually pretty confident going into this. Yeah they will sit back and frustrate but Rodgers has faced this exact scenario most games when managing Celtic. As long as we move the ball quickly we’ll have too much for them.
Foxxed Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 Could be a good game for Barnes. He likes getting the shots away
Guest Danny Clender Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 We played Rafa last time, now we're in a very different space. Sure it's natural to be a little cautious (paranoid negative issues) but I just don't feel it against the current Newcastle set up. Surely we're not going to change anything after the Spurs result, yeah? This is a good game to be going into with the belief we have now, can't see us losing.
Blanchflower78 Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 Biggest mistake here is underestimating them. We need same mentality and hopefully line up. Big opportunity here to grab another 3 points.

What happened last April ?
whoareyaaa Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 Same team, same approach and the quality should shine through. Perez to score 4-0

Dr The Singh Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 Toughest match of the season, they will it give us an inch, we need to move the ball quick and expect a physical battle.
ALC Fox Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 They'll play to frustrate us and they'll want some measure of revenge for Ritchie's injury in the cup game. Not an easy game at all. We'll need to show some guile and creativity. An early goal could do the trick. If not, we may have to just play keep ball, grind them down and not get too impatient.
Koke Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 We haven't given anyone a proper hiding in the PL since beating QPR 5-1 in 2014/15. Couple of 4-1s against Sunderland and Southampton but that's about it. I'll settle for a basic 2-0 here though.
Suffolk exile Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 It will be a very different affair to yesterday. They won't come to us with the intention of 'playing' - more likely to set up to stop us. But, if we play like we did yesterday, they won't be able to live with us........(might be forced to eat my words here..........)
Spudulike Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 As always but this game especially, first goal is absolutely crucial.
Anglodanglo Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 Soyuncu and Carroll to swap shampoo instead of shirts at full time
coolhandfox Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 If we want to be top six our he form need to be excellent, so 3 PTS need against an average Newcastle side!
Wymsey Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 Am sensing a big win incoming. 3/4-0. The wide-men will be key for this one, imo.

Tanya Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 I think this is the type of game we bought Praet for. Someone who loves a tackle but can play a progressive pass. I think he will start since they will absolutely park the bus. If he doesn't start and we haven't broken through I think he will be on early doors in the second half

Stevosevic Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 They looked awful against Brighton and I would love a comfortable victory. First goal will be massive.

Koke Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 God forbid they score the first goal. It will be like watching paint dry for the rest of the game.
st albans fox Posted 23 September 2019 Posted 23 September 2019 The danger of trying to make it a ‘game of basketball’ is that they could nick the first basket ....
