Can’t find the post about chilwell having no abilities apart from athleticism but does that guy still want a fight because I’ll happily have it out with him again.

Looks great when surging forwards on one of his intrepid runs and it was nice to see him back.

First half I thought he was excellent. Had a real poor period in the second half (plenty dipped though) but then finished strongly minus a couple of mistakes. Think he's struggling from a lack of confidence at the moment but he brings a much better balance to the team.

Going to get shot here for this opinion, but I don't think he was great today. I also don't think he was terrible, but I think it was the worst performance on the team.

I think the main difference is that the rest of the team were on form. I think if he performed like he did today (running the ball out of play / losing possession, and getting lucky a few times when the ref gave him soft FK's after he'd lost it) then I think he'd be getting slated a lot more.

Maybe it sounds harsh, because he wasn't terrible, and I appreciate the fact that he kept trying to go forward. But I think his performance has been coloured a lot by the scoreline.

Still, we know he's got it in him. It's not as if he's the only one that's been out of form recently.

Not his best performance, but it was much, much better than he has been recently. Needlessly lost possession a few times, but it was in attacking play which has been missing from him lately. Some excellent probing runs that could've ended in goals, better link up with Barnes (still could use some work though) and he even tried taking on the fb on a few occasions.

If he can keep up that level more consistently then I don't think we can have too many complaints, and we know he's capable of even more than that when on form.

Our game starts with the full backs. If both full backs are positive like today we will beat most teams. Chilwell wasn’t perfect today but he was better than he has been for a long time. Main reason is he was positive

Thing is, he's not going to go from his poorest form and being booed by his own "fans" to playing a 9/10 next game, but a big improvement should do his confidence the world of good. Solid 7 tonight.

Joe Mattock, those are the pricks we abuse. Not England's LB from our academy with 50+ Leicester appearances

Brings it home that doesn’t it. There’s some really weird irrational agenda against the lad and I cannot for the life of me think why.

Back the guy. Loved the roar when he drove forwards in the first half, we have to support players like this. Rodgers' actions at FT show that it does affect him/others.

Your first point is really telling.

The crowd are more than happy to back him when he's playing the way that we know he can.

The negativity of his football in recent weeks is mirrored by the crowd, and rightly so. He's been the weak link.

Hopefully he sees that. It isn't a personal vendetta, i don't think.

I can only think they are jealous of his hair.
