urban.spaceman Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 Just the 12 goals in the last 2 games then. Disappointing.
RoboFox Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 I would like us to avoid Manchester City in the next round, please.
Foxxed Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 Gray still can't score. At least he can assist now.
vanity Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 We looked like worldbeaters early. This was precisely the sort of game we would've lost last season. The improvement is pretty clear. Think it is always going to look a bit disjointed and sloppy when we just slap together a more talented side that hasn't played together. Seemed like lots of miscommunication tonight that we don't normally see, but hard to blame the lads for that.
Out Foxed Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 yeah please no man city for once. it's boring.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 made changes and they did the job; on to the next round
StanSP Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 Man City at home in the quarters then! First half bossed it. Passing game was brilliant. Second half we were overrun at times and Burton took control. Goal was coming but Ward should have done better. We weathered their 15-min storm and got through a scrappy period. The amount of chances and openings we had before and after they scored though. So many that we could have realistically put away as well. Finishing and final ball could have been so much better. But we're through and the 2nd string (for the most part) get the job done. Wouldn't mind Colchester or Oxford/Sunderland in the next round.

Vacamion Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 At one stage in the first half I thought it would be another thrashing, but fair play to Burton and especially their keeper who was very good. Nice for Kalechi to slot. Gray and Tielemans showed glimpses of glory.
foxfanazer Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 Job done. A bot closer than it should've been but a few decent performances. Gray MOTM followed by Youri and Praet. Bad error by Ward but made up for it with a world class save
Jonezy Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 Could have done without the scrappy part and letting Burton have a sniff, but thats cup games and a changed team for you. Job done and onwards.
jmono84 Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 Good performance but we should have been out of sight after an hour... All of our wingers need to be a lot more clinical, it’ll make the difference between a great season and a decent season.
OadbyBlue Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 Could have been 9 in all honesty, final ball was awful at times in the second half
jayfox26 Posted 29 October 2019 Posted 29 October 2019 Comfortable scoreline in the end but anything but a comfortable performance. We created quite a bit but we were very sloppy in possession at times and our defending was very poor at times as well. They missed some clear chances and Ward made a great save at 2-1. Glad we're through but that was not a great performance and I doubt Brendan will be overly happy with it.
