No prolonged period of time where we at least manage to keep the ball in the opposing half. Mané getting away with EVERYTHING. Referee with no glasses on (foul on Ricardo Pereira not given, instead whistling for an undeserved corner). Endless amounts of lost possession, making life easy for Liverpool. Vardy with five touches in the first half. No shot on goal. Mr. Rodgers, time to rethink your strategy here...

We haven't played well in either game, but these teams make you play badly with a high press, forcing you into mistakes. Our passing has been really bad tonight, and it's costing us time and time again. Only one goal in it so we still have a chance, but this game could and should already be over. Somehow we need to get our passing game going as it's been nonexistent thus far.

I don't expect us to be running rings round the likes of Liverpool but I expect us to be competitive. They're taking the piss at times we've made it so bloody easy for them. Sort it out Brendan. Always had the tag that he can't do it against the big sides. Time to disprove the theory.

We need to do something to help the situation. We are making no effort to win the ball high up the pitch, Liverpool are having it easy. We are playing the match brainlessly. Passing it slowly out from the back completely plays into their hands. Ranieri’s Leicester of 15/16 would have given them far more problems that half because they wouldn’t have let them settle into the game so easily. We need to work much, much harder and show some urgency. We didn’t get to 2nd in the league being so passive.

We are actually doing some pressing in this game, its not consistent sadly but is at least some. Thats the part of the game we improved on. I feel we need to play counter as trying to do build up play is not working, only one move looked good (preat offside). What was very telling is at one point we had 68% possession but 0 shots vs liverpool 5 shots. We need to be absolutely more direct.
