wardyfox86 Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 They did a job on us. Plus side is, they will actually need to do something in the 2nd leg.
SecretPro Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 NEVER EVER EVER PLAY CHILWELL AS A WINGBACK AGAIN. ****ing useless. Other than that I'll take it.
Vacamion Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Blummin Villa parked the buzz. We were a much better side with Hamza on. We were soooooo much better and had many many chances to their handful. Should have enough 2nd leg
Ted Maul Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Draw not the end of the world considering the state of our performance. Tielemans, Chilwell and Maddison particularly poor. Rodgers got it badly wrong in a big game again, which is concerning. Hamza the biggest positive- class when he came on. Onto Villa Park!

Izzy Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Frustrating evening. You'd normally expect to win with 70% possession and 20 shots but Villa came and did a job on us. There keeper played really well in only his second appearance for them. No drama though. Still fancy us to go through.
Tazfox Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Chilwell not a wing back. Horribly negative from him. Tielemans turning in one of the worst performances I've seen in recent times. Frustrating game
Foxxed Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Iheanacho over Perez and Hamza over Praet for me in future. Barnes on the wing too please.
Bezzanator89 Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Smash and Grab, Park the Bus, you name it. Villa tried it tonight. They'll be happy with that. But we could so easily get a result at Villa Park like we did in December. We move on.
KingsX Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Judging by the match thread, you'd think these stats were flipped in Villa's favor.
Brooksy Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Chilwell and Tielemans awful. Chris Kavanagh should be nowhere near this level.
Bryn Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Load of whingey little sh1ts in the match thread as per. Villa defended like Spartans but we kept going and got the goal. Fancy we do them in the return, they've got bigger fish to fry. I don't like Chilwell at wingback and Tielemans surely needs a rest.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 We'll do them in the 2nd leg. Write it in 3-inch high letters.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Makes the second leg a complete lottery now when it didn’t need to be Disappointing tonight because we all expected much better Villa basically shit-housed it

A set piece a draw then penalties? Also I didn't realise there was a rule where you're not allowed to try and tackle Grealish.
Scotch Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Some really poor performances tonight. Chilwell was poor. Perez was non existent. Maddison was frustrated. Tielemans was dreadful. All credit to villa though, they defended brilliantly and got what they came for, the tie is still alive.
BlueSi13 Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Another big game. Another disappointing performance. We're not a clutch team. As good as this season has been so far that has been frustrating to witness. Could be any result at Villa Park. We're a bit of a mystery at times.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Hamza is the man! A great performance from him, and my man of the match. Jack Grealish is a little bitch!
Sir Shep Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 I blame Sean for leaking the team news, chuffing charlatan.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 I don't think we were that bad. Just Villa defended really well, stayed compact and didn't give us space anywhere we could get a decent shot off.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 8 January 2020 Posted 8 January 2020 Don’t really understand how people on here and the pundits are ignoring the story of the match. We had 2 great chances at 0-0 (Perez and Vardy) plus 1 more half chance (Vardy). We made one mistake and they scored. They defended well and made one mistake and we scored. Vardy had that other great chance at 1-1. Yes, we were lacking in quality and Youri and Chilwell were below par, but on another day we’d win that.
