Which, if you convert it back to pounds, is still £54m. I don't think we've thought this all the way through. 19

mozartfox Posted 7 September 2020 Posted 7 September 2020 To be totally fair to Burnley, 54M for Tarkowski makes much more sense that 80M for Slabhead. But - just like we had Manures pants down, I would hate us to have the same done to us again by Burnley. Sporting bent us over in recent years and our business since has been excellent. Move on Rudders.

People who should be in that team aren't getting in until Boothroyd.... dies? nb: I know they won 6-0 but it was only Kosovo Incredible that we've got such a talented generation coming through and the people in charge of them at the two highest levels are bloody bib and cone men. 4 2

Unless they have a replacement that they know will be top quality lined up theyre probably happy to wait out his contract rather than get a measly 20 mil for him.
Max Power Posted 7 September 2020 Posted 7 September 2020 Purse strings are very tight at Burnley. Dyche might almost want him to go if it means he can use the £30-35m to strengthen elsewhere - squad is threadbare.
TommyK Posted 7 September 2020 Posted 7 September 2020 If they don't sell him this year, they'll get less next. Another year older, only one year left on his contract.

He was probably our 4th best player. Stop with this rubbish about Maguire being no good. We got a great price for him but he’s a top player. 6 1

nettle Posted 7 September 2020 Posted 7 September 2020 They'll double his wage? Can't be on that much at Burnley.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 7 September 2020 Posted 7 September 2020 A move to the capital and he'll probably double his wages, can't really blame him. I imagine we'll be interested depending on the fee they realistically want.
