Cracking debut and some on here need a bit more faith in the club reading some of the posts over the last few weeks and i swear some would rather we had lost today so they could carry on moaning. The guy has come here to improve his game and cement a place in his national side playing with other team members. and get a few more pennies in his bank account. Lovely worked goal as well people despite the moaning on some threads our recruitment is more hit than miss

He would not be in the Belgium team if he was not a good player, will only get better when he has more experience in this league

Agreed but let’s be honest. It was never a hard position to fill.

 

Its less about how good Castagne is more so how over rated Chillwell was.

And Chilwell wouldn't be in the England team either? And before you talk about the lack of choice for England at left back (which is totally fair) Belgium have even worse options at full back. It's the area of their team that isn't world class.

 

I'm definitely a fan from what I saw today and previously but I was also a fan of Chilwell. Going to offer quite different things I think.

Chilwell, was a bit lazy at times and needed to be more alert and aggressive.

His forward movement and especially his passing and just an eye for a pass was a huge improvement on Chilwell. Defending he was superb too, an absolute beast in the air which Chilwell never was. Very happy thus far.

Thought one of Chilwell's best things was his aerial ability. Could jump like a salmon out of water!

I hope he doesn't unlearn some of the fantastic offensive moves he was making, he was sometimes making great runs but nobody saw them. If the rest of the team can keep up with that, we'll be flying.

Centre Back - Zinho Vanheusden (21, Standard de Liège) is insanely talented. Though not a consistent player yet.

 

Right Wing - Jérémy Doku (18, Anderlecht) is a huge talent (though right footed)

 

Striker - No world class talents imo
