J.Lisemore Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 Credit to West Ham, they're gameplan has worked a treat. As for us, were too passive. Trying the same thing over and over gain without any joy. Need to change it up 2
splinterdream Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 I would take mendy and Perez off and put amartey as cdm and bring cengiz and iheanacho on

BigGibbo Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 Amartey off. Under on. 4-5-1 with Perez central (only because we have no choice without Maddison or Praet. Except maybe Dewsbury-Hall? ).

Webbo Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 It seemed to me that Amartey was pushed into midfield the last 5 minutes.

ronnup Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 We've got to change the system. We could play all day and not score at this rate. Perez off. Kelechi on. 442 with Dan at right back
Lambert09 Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 Just get Under on for a cb. Give it 15 then bring on nacho as well and go really get at them.

shailen Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 Second goal was just pathetic. Great touch from the player but you can't concede from a long ball like that. 1
Deeg67 Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 No Praet and no Maddison is a real problem, because without them Tielemans is really the only creative player on the side. That's why you see all those hopeful long balls for Vardy or Barnes. There's really no answer to that on the bench, but you may as well chuck Under and Kelechi on for Amartey and Perez, play with a back four and throw everything you have at them.

HybridFox Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 Not feeling confident this second half. Need to do an Aston Villa title season comeback
TimT Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 LCFC is vulnerable when play with 3 central defenders in the back since Brendan Rogers applied it since the second half of the last season. Today, the CBs are not playing well either. However, Soyuncu protects the central left of the defense and he was were he was supposed to be. I dislike defensive players simply protecting space when there is no opponent and imminent danger in that their space, they should look to cover the path of the outside runner. Yes, Soyuncu should have been more aware of his surroundings but also Antonio was not stationary inside the box he run into the box from the far left and he should have been covered by the left full back. In the second goal, Soyuncu run from the central mid to the right of the field which was supposed to be protected by both Amartey and Evans. Both were slow to react.

Trying hard to stay positive, but sadly we showed no urgency to score towards the end of the half and the longer this stays at 0-2 (or worse, more) the less likely it will be to get back in it. theessexfox Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 Amartey has been the most comfortable of the three but he’s the least trusted in a back four - if anyone is sacrificed it’d still be him I think
danny2997 Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 Pérez is having a bad game but we need the option between midfield and attack so he needs to go there and bring under on out wide. Unfortunately with Maddison and Praet both out, there's no one else we can throw on to solve the issue.
Ian Nacho Posted 4 October 2020 Posted 4 October 2020 Missing a Maddison/Praet type player in midfielder. Perez is a waste of time.
