I agree.

Praet, Soyuncu, Castagne.

Who else?

Well Praet and Soyuncu have proved they’re not good enough for us and Castagne has been average for well over a year now.

If Nacho had a different temperament, he would’ve fallen out after he was on fire proved himself then back to not getting a sniff

And Amartey, Justin and Thomas have been putting in world class performances yeah? Don’t get me wrong I have a lot of time for the latter two there but that post is BS. All 3 in your post would add something to the lines ups and performances we have been seeing.

I’d have Castagne right back and Justin left back but if Ricardo was available I wouldn’t play castagne

Praet, Castagne and Soyuncu should all be starting currently.

100% Castagne and Soyuncu how they aint over ndidi in defence and Thomas left back is so pathetic

If it's the case he's out of the team because he's been critical of Rodgers, no matter how indirectly, it's another of the many reasons why Rodgers needs to be sacked, letting his ego influence team selection is unacceptable.

Praet should be starting on the right of that midfield today as well.

Maddison, Youri, Soumare and Barnes as a midfield 4 has no bite whatsoever, going to be a walk in the park for Brighton I think.

I’m not a Thomas hater but Castagne is the better player, we’re choosing to field a weakened side today as we have when Amartey has appeared ahead of Soyuncu. We have enough problems without shouting ourselves in the foot. Maybe Castagne isn’t taking on board and carrying out some new instructions or something but this isn’t being based on ability.

So we're stuck with Thomas as the new Amartey now, I guess. Utter madness to ostracise experienced international players in favour of inferior ones.:nono:

Brendan

Dont want to be venomous about BR but isnt it his job to motivate the players to train as well as possible?

Every chance this is just Brendan saving face but you've got to admit it's worrying that so many players aren't training well enough to play.

All for slagging Brendan off, his time is up and he needs to go. However, the players have to take some responsibility.

Recon his head got turned by Atletico Madrid ? As we know we blocked the move, Rob Tanner reported it. Because by all accounts he’s a model professional and very humble guy. Training poorly all of a sudden doesn’t add up

The longer he's here the worse the players look. Thomas used to whip beautiful crosses in and had a good understanding with Barnes when he first came into the team. Now he looks completely clueless, whether to stay back and defend or go forward. Add to that guys like JJ, Timmy, Cags, Ndidi. The defence is the foundation upon which you build a team, he's destroyed/destroying that foundation. Someone on here described him as a saboteur, that's exactly what he is.

It’s just waffle bollocks by Rodgers, end of. Thomas must be a different bloke in training cos his performances aren’t there yet and Justin is way out of form

...so he is saying certain players are not putting in a shift in training!!!

This cannot be helping the mood of other players around him, they will have an opinion on the merits of the case and you can see others supporting the player and incurring Rodgers's wrath.

If this is him (Rodgers) trying to assert his dominance regarding the squad, at this moment it appears that he is taking the Board with him. This may be a player versus club standoff and the Board having ousted 3 managers, due to the players' reaction to their style of play, man-management, and disdain, the club may just see this as the chance to take back control from the players and entrust the club to a manager to shape as he sees fit.

I would say, Kasper's exit is the prelude to the club no longer taking advice or acting on the needs of the squad.
