Leicester_Loyal Posted 27 June 2021 Posted 27 June 2021 10 years?! That's flown by. I'm getting old...
SemperEadem Posted 27 June 2021 Posted 27 June 2021 Won a good amount of staff around. Know he was very prickly with some in the first few years he was here.

Unbelievable player and what a signing for the club. 10 years, that’s crazy. Love him People will only appreciate how good he is when we try and replace him. Tricky job As a goalkeeper hes incredibly replaceable for a club in our position As a man and personality in the dressing room, that could prove to be a tough one to replace 5
WokinghamFoxJD Posted 28 June 2021 Posted 28 June 2021 Great achievement to make it to his testimonial. He deserves a new song to mark his 10 years with the club, to the tune of “tide is high”: shot comes in and he’s holding on Schmeichel is Leicester’s number 1
Popular Post Vardinio'sCat Posted 7 July 2021 Popular Post Posted 7 July 2021 Top trolling from Kasper. you do love to see it. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/17248/12350415/denmarks-kasper-schmeichel-asks-if-football-has-ever-been-home-for-england-ahead-of-euro-2020-semi-final 7

What an utterly stupid question, a reporter who clearly doesn't get what the song is about and plays into the hands of all the idiots who scream "arrogance" when it's sung. 5 1
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 7 July 2021 Popular Post Posted 7 July 2021 Hahahahaaaaa that will have a lot of English fans livid, will make it even sweeter when Kane sticks 3 past him as per usual. 2 5
Haywood_6 Posted 7 July 2021 Posted 7 July 2021 Stupid question and I thought it was a good response. 4
adam95581 Posted 7 July 2021 Posted 7 July 2021 I hope England win 1-0 tonight and Kasper has a stormer making at least 8 worldies. Nothing else will do. 1

To be fair to them, the majority of fans in the comments and others I've saw elsewhere have taken it very much in the context it was intended. Banter. 2
Alf Bentley Posted 7 July 2021 Posted 7 July 2021 Just imagine how opposing fans will react up and down the country next season if Kasper has a stormer tonight and Denmark win. Imagine he plays a blinder, then "does a Yeovil" by heading a 120th-minute equaliser, before saving all 5 England penalties..... It's not going to happen, of course. Is it?

It seems I’ve misinterpreted that song all these years. I’ve always thought ‘coming home’ was just a reference to us hosting the Euros in ‘96. I had no idea it was a boast about us reclaiming trophy we’ve never won… 7 4
Staffs Fox Posted 7 July 2021 Posted 7 July 2021 Exactly I love the 3 Lions song and it is without doubt the best football song ever in my opinion (the hipsters with their World in Motion opinions can do one) but it is massively misunderstood by the masses. It’s a song about Englands glorious failures and despite being let down time and again, we still support them. Also it’s coming home was a reference to the tournament being held in England, nothing more. 1 1
Collymore Posted 7 July 2021 Posted 7 July 2021 Kasper is management material isn't he? I could see him ruffling a few feathers Pearson style post match. 2
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 7 July 2021 Posted 7 July 2021 Spot on from Kasper. There can be a lot of self indulgence where England are concerned and apart from 1966 what have we ever done? 1

All the foreigners on twitter utterly triggered by the song and proclaiming arrogance around English football. Absolutely to a man, each of them no matter where they are from has their "English team" listed in their profile. Michael the Manchester United from Dublin thinks English fans are arrogant and think unless it's premier league it's shit. Stig the Liverpool fan in Sweden, wonders why the English think they are so good.

No other nation comes anywhere near our level of humility and self-deprecation, no matter how hard they try. 1 1 4

I doubt England are the only country where that is the case.
