Waste of time but with the injuries we've got it doesn't sting quite like the other games we've shat it in over the past 18 months.

 

I think we're a better side without Maddison. Need to slaughter Fulham because that was feeble.

I don't mind losing, it's the manner in which we lost that gets me. In the second half we just kept giving the ball away to them. It's hard to pick one player who had a decent game today.

Bit of an overreaction on here tonight. Liverpool are a class team with a world class manager. We were unlucky not to get a penalty and that may have changed the game slightly, but we were second best all over the park. 3-0 absolutely flattered us, could have quite easily been 5 or 6.

The thing that pisses me off is our set pieces, we look totally useless whether it’s attacking or defending them, we never seem to work on them (or we don’t appear to anyway but we aren’t improving in any way on them).

Onto the next game, forget about tonight.

Even with their injuries they are a class football team. They’ll walk the league this year again especially when they get a few players back. Disappointing showing from our lads but I won’t lose any sleep over it

Liverpool were just too good today. Deserved their win. We were not allowed to play and we didn’t have the personnel to break through today.

Terrible today. Never looked like scoring really, and very shaky at the back. Did aggravate me how often they'd get lucky with bounces at times mind. 

 

Don't agree that we should have had a penalty even if I wouldn't be surprised to see it given against us.

Beaten by a better side, no shame in it. That happens over the course of a season.

 

Could we have made a better fist of it, of course. Is there much point in over analysing and picking tons of holes in it, no.

 

The key thing is to recover from it and go on a decent run and put some more points on the board, sitting in a great position still.

 

Honurable mention to Justin, been critical of him in the past but he's really kicking on and developing, looks far more assured defensively and always looked decent going forward.

I think Brendan must be literally trembling with fear while giving the team talk pre-match.

A collective off day with the exception of Justin and Kasper.

 

It doesn’t help the narrative that when the going gets tough we fold like a pack of cards, but this team has enough to be up in the top 6 at the end of the season.

 

Plenty of very good players to come back from injury. Move on as soon as we can!
