Absolutely no chance Southgate picks either of them unless he has no other choice.

You're probably right about Barnes unless he's impossible to ignore but Justin seems nailed on for a squad place. There aren't too many talented, versatile players about.

He will, trust me… they are exciting talents. Hard to be negative towards Southgate when he has delivered tonight

Aye right

👍

Insightful come back. About the level I expect from you. So what did Stetling do that was exceptional tonight? Was it the through ball to Muller or when he ran into three defenders for no reason. Or maybe when he got down the left, ran past the full back, stopped, waited, waited let two players come back to pressure him and the aimlessly chipped a ball into the box.

2-0 is flattering. As good as it is we have been absolutely shit. Come up against a team with bollocks and we will get beaten.

We won..

Sorry to disappoint you and a few other Mis-gogs on this forum..

Sorry but you're talking complete bollocks

Enlighten me?

Where was the aggression? The quick passing? Getting at Germany’s weaknesses which were their defence?

For 80 off minutes it was slow and ponderous football, Germany were really there for the taking tonight, and we just approached the game overly cautious with no really aggression.

It wasn’t really until Grealish came on that we started to get up the pitch quicker. It was all just too slow and painfully predictable.

We beat a poor team on their arses today, if we play like that against a team willing to scrap and get into us, we won’t cope.

It’s fantastic to go through, but I don’t think it was a good performance at all.

It's a bit like watching us last season in a way.

Not that great on the eye and hit and miss in attack.

But very solid at the back and take a chance or two.

Different sort of pressure now - people will expect us to get to the final at least.

Still feel Italy or Belgium are the ones to beat if they are on a good day.

Might not like it but hes right.

OAP German team with most of them.probably retiring.

No one will be fearing England on that display

We do laugh at maguire but got to admit he looked every bit of his price tag tonight… be shit for Man U, Pickford can be shit for Everton but they don’t let England down

That's why Maguire price was 80m, he had a great world cup and on the back of that everyone was praises him. But just like Pickford not quite as good playing for his club side

Hardly OAP

Neuer 35

Hummels 32

Kroos & Mueller 31

Rest of the starting line up 28 or under.

Sterling is either having a good day or a bad day. There’s not much in between

Say what you want about sterling but he knows how to score when it's there clearly for him even on his worst days. Not my favorite player but definitely very good and clearly a constant threat

That was sterling’s and maguire’s a best game where they actually did live up to the hype… grealish though he is our new gazza the guy is phenomenal, he won’t be at villa after the summer

You should ask ChocolateTeapot what he think's. He knows a lot about Grealish
