Had a look around a few of the Everton forums. Not a single mention of Perez

Someone might, but I agree that it's unlikely to be Everton for the reason you've stated. Just don't see him getting a game there.

The key to selling Perez will be the price and how much of a hit the club are prepared to take I suppose. At the right price, there's probably a few clubs would take him, but they're not going to pay over the odds as we did.

I don't know why everyone gets the impression that BR or the club want to move him on.

....I think it is more, they cannot see the reason why we should keep him, simple as that!!!

I’ve always tried to defend Ayoze but would have no qualms if he left the club. We can get better for what we paid

Technically a very good player but I’ve not really taken to him, seems he was better for Newcastle than he is for us to be honest. We wouldn’t miss him

It seems to me there is no basis for this story which probably originated from a journalist needing to fill a few column inches .Perez did well under Benitez previously so Benitez will want him to return to his management. It's difficult to see what Perez could add to the Everton team. I see no chance of this happening....but I would be happy if I was wrong!

Neither do I, not even a newly promoted side, he's not good enough. If he can't score or assist at a top 5 FA Cup winning side, what chance has he got amongst lesser players?

He really isn't as bad as some of you lot are making out. I've been underwhelmed and he was mostly poor last season, but he's clearly got ability, is hard working and versatile. He just needs more end product. If we'd not overspent on him people wouldn't be so harsh, but that's not his fault.

I agree. If we had bought him for £10 million everybody would say great signing at that price (for example)

definitely a good player just not a £30 million game changing player

he is a poor mans Okazaki for me (and I mean that as a sort of compliment)

Ayoze has two more years at about 80, 000 a week , so that will give him a handy 8 million gross . That will buy him a nice bar in Tenerife and Las Palmas will pick him up for free. So its all looking pretty good for him. That , by the way , is what his agent is telling him.

He's way worse than a lot of you are making out. He scored 2 league goals last season in his favoured position and 1 assist. That is an absolute disgrace.

Some people give him too much slack, others too much criticism.

But on paper, he wasn't good enough last year, those figures plus the off field antics are incredibly poor. I believe Justin got the same number of goals and 1 more assist in the (I think) fewer games from fullback.

Did we actually pay 30 mill for him? even if it was a mistake it seems very unlike us to do that. Was it not like 16m plus add-ons? Add ons which (FA cup aside) he won't have achieved with his poor return.

It would be interesting to know if it is was definitely 30mill, I doubt it. i have no knowledge of it though so I could be wrong. Obviously the fact there is talk of him  having to play so many games. I would imagine that is 100% BS.

if we paid 30 mill outright and had a clause to play so many games it would be well known. i think even outside of FT it would have to go down as one of the worst transfers in history.

It wasn't so long ago that Perez still had ambitions of playing for Spain. I know that seems a long way off but if Adama Traore can make their squad, Perez has a fair chance if he can strike up a bit of form.

If I were his agent and Perez feels like he's not getting the rub of the green here, I'd be on the blower to Benitez, under whom Perez had a pretty fruitful spell, to try and have a good crack at making into a national team squad as an Everton player. They're not short of a bob or two these days either so he'd still get decent wages, I'd imagine.
