Great 3 points. Brentford are a decent team our season has started now, can’t remember a week this in ages 3 really good results. Slowly climbing the table and nobody talking about us which is how I like it 👌🏻

Did anyone at the game understand a word from that bloke being interviewed at half time on the pitch? I thought I caught a bit about him being a Messi body double and then started waffling on about some kind of lads weekend to Marbella which was great bantaaaaa to get to know da guysssss!! Was utterly bizarre!!! A bit like the BREEEEENTFORD shout down the mic on volume 100! I’m glad we beat them just for that tbf!

Great performance, everyone gets 10 out of 10. Happy now?

Brentford are a good team but they lacked the quality we have.

Taking account of flying to Russia their and back midweek I thought we played well. With a few standout performances Youri and Dan and Maddison. Soumare was poor but that's his third game in a week after not playing much Football this season.

These are the games we used to lose so it's nice that we can now find a way to win.

Long may it continue.

That’s a bit unexpected from him - I thought he was quite realistic and respectful to opposition teams in the past - must have acquired billy big b*****ks syndrome since they got into the premier

Hes always been a wank3r, i remember a opposition Championship player (cant remember his name) put on twitter that he went to shake Thomas Franks hand after the game and he got told to **** off 😂

Lets be honest, if Vardy played for these he'd have had a hatrick today. It was poor finishing that cost them the game.

Would never boo our own players in a million years but i generally think the crowd reaction to him coming on for Lookman against Burnley has been a massive kick up the arse/motivation for him. Hes been a different player since then, long may it continue

Not down to the manager then?

We showed that Premier league experience today imo. Although it wasn't a polished performance we just had that extra bit of quality that was enough to secure the points. Brentford will be completely fine this season though

Agreed.

I had nothing to base it on but I always felt quite confident we were going to nick the winner, even when we were struggling to make the ball stick up front in second half spells.

Really pleased with today, great result.

Missed a rare game today but a mate of mine who is a Brentford fan reckons Frank was probably wound up by what he saw as "the endless time wasting by Leicester." Did we really "do a Burnley"?

The ref added 7 minutes on?! lol

Thomas Frank sounds pathetic. His team offered very little. Huffing and puffing only gets you so far in this league.

I do rate Brentford as a side to be fair but thought they were painfully average today.

Didn't @The Bear come on here a few weeks ago and say they did exactly the same at Molineux?

Hard to tell. My stream was "doing a Burnley".

Yes we did! Kasper, Madders and throw-ins were very Dyche-esque!!! The only difference being of course, that the ref was telling us to hurry up, whereas Kavanagh was quite happy for Burnley to waste time without telling them to hurry things along!!

Depends on how much they run out of steam in the 2nd half of the season - that tends to the the real undoing of many newly promoted clubs...

First match I have missed watching live in a long time, but listened to it on the radio, and it sounded like we weren't that great, but managed to do what all good teams do and took our chances while grinding out a win.

Sounds like Maddison played well which is great to hear, and Evans is back marshaling the defence and making us look more solid at the back, which is a huge bonus because if we'd been more defensively solid all season we'd be even higher up the table. (I know that's quite an obvious thing to say, but we've generally looked so poor defensively without him there).

I am surprised though by those fans who think we should be beating Brentford easily just because they are a newly promoted team. This is a team that look dangerous in every game they have played this season, beaten West Ham and Arsenal, drew with Liverpool and were very unlucky not to get a result against Chelsea.

This had a potential banana skin all over it, and a loss today could have seen us lose any momentum gained since beating United.

However we won, and while the radio implied we were second best in at least the first half, so what? There have been times we've outplayed an opposition and lost, happens to everyone, this is football. But if we have any aspirations of a top 4 finish its this kind of test we need to pass more often than not, because we won't always look the better team, but this game is all about fine margins and luckily for us we have a number of talented players capable of tipping the balance in our favour when the need arises.

I just pray our recent form has Youri thinking maybe this is a team he can continue to be part of for the foreseeable future and together we can forge out some very successful number of seasons over the next few years.

To be fair he did add 7 minutes, which I think was about right with the amount of Dyching we did.

Similar passage of play to Thomas’ goal at Old Trafford last season for Maddison’s goal.

We’re so much better with Iheanacho in the team because his movement drags the opposition about. His hold up and link up ability allows other players to play better.

When we have runners breaking into space like that, Tielemans will invariably pick them out. Already we’ve seen some encouraging signs of the Daka & Iheanacho partnership too.
