Seagrave needs an independant expert review as this does seem odd. Anyone done an evidence based look at our total Injuries  not just first team? Or are we being paranoid?

Training ground injuries have become rife in the Premier & Championship. Apparently Rugby Football is also seeing an increase.

 Are athletes being pushed too hard in training ??

The pitches were re-laid after Rodgers first season, and all the pitches at both the ground and Seagrave were done to the same standard. Given we have a Turf Academy with all the grass and ground science it's possible to get I don't think they'd be employing random contractors using leftovers and apprentices to lay the grass at a £100m facility.

 

I don't know how it'd be possible to analyse our injuries without official club input. No-one outside the physios and doctors would have the specifics of the injuries, such as how it was caused (twisting, turning, impact etc)  21/22 was crazy but other clubs had similar issues such as Leeds and Liverpool. That season aside it wouldn't even get a mention if we were still at Belvoir Drive. Seagrave just gives everything a focal point. Worth noting also the womens team have had 3 or 4 players with serious knee injuries and they've never used Seagrave until the last couple of weeks.

I think it’s a far wider problem than Seagrave or anything in particular we are doing wrong as a club, personally I think this is more to do with the workloads, stresses and strains that footballers now put their bodies under, and all of this from a very early age.
 

Academies are now obsessed with trying to forecast players height, build etc and how they will develop size wise, the athletic build of a player is arguably more important than tactical and technical ability. Kids of 12, 13, 14 years old are hitting the gym to try and achieve marginal gains and to do enough to secure an academy spot or remain in an academy, this will be doing damage to parts of the body that are still developing. There is also the issues with 3G pitches and the potential risk that is having to young footballers and their bodies. 
 

We are now getting to the generation of the players that have been developed largely through the new methods, the era of academies at all costs and parents pushing their kids to achieve the dream, as a consequence I think players bodies are suffering and hence we seeing so many young players struggling with repetitive strain injuries or suffering serious injuries such as ACL’s, this isn’t just happening at our club it’s happening all over the country.

go on the chap, put the hard hat and high viz vest on and do a nice little Health and safety report on the ground;
