Popular Post ian__marshall Posted 27 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2025 (edited) Love it when players go down this route. Should be livid, but I always find it both hilarious and ironic that they blame the club. Surely the blame lies squarely with the agent, and the player. If his agent hasn't done enough to sell his services and convince a potential buyer he's worth a certain amount then that isn't the clubs fault. He simply needs a better agent, or to put up better numbers. He really can't be complaining that the club has blocked his move when less than 2 weeks ago he could have moved for less, only to see no one make an offer at that lower price. I've been very critical of the club for their conduct over recent years, but I fully support their stance on this one, even if it leads to him going on strike. His agent has had the best part of 2 months to broker a deal at a value the club could have done nothing about. If he wants to throw his toys out of the pram, I suggest he looks closer to home before kicking up a fuss with his employer. Edited 27 August 2025 by ian__marshall 10

Clubs need to start putting stipulations that a loyalty bonus is not the same as "didn't technically hand in a transfer request" bonus. 1
Popular Post Finnegan Posted 27 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2025 Wants to be careful, really. At Genk, there was obviously concrete interest from another team who were specifically bidding and he'd agreed terms with us. Brute forcing his way out of the club was reasonably straight forward. Here, we actually seem fairly willing to sell him, we literally just can't afford to let him go too cheaply because we'll take losses? We can't help it if other clubs want to sign other players. With Palace all but wrapping up Pino, there's currently not concrete interest on the table, is there? We can't force someone to come and buy him, if there's not any genuine interest then he's going to have to knuckle down and try and put a shift in to convince a club to buy him in January. I'm not sure he's in as strong a position as he thinks to actually start burning bridges. 11
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 He forgot to turn on the light when updating his profile picture. It's nothing more serious than that. 3
Popular Post EnderbyFox Posted 27 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2025 Just heard from my mate that works at the club, he said Rudkin was going to dig his heels in and not accept anything under 60m. He's changed his mind now Bilal has made his profile picture black and is happy to accept 15M 10

Palace are also in for Reiss Nelson - so suggests they want another attacking midfielder with the ability to float on the wing.
Popular Post Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2025 Putting a black Instagram profile pic is the modern footballer equivalent of logging off and on to MSN to get attention 1 18
EastAnglianFox Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Even if it meant failing psr, I’d fvcking love us to have the bottle to just let him see out his contract training on his own and sitting in the stands 1
brookfox Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Wouldn't read too much into his profile pic change, something similar happened with the Fyre Festival. Could just be that he's promoting the Nyght Festival.

JimmyC74 Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Haha. Another 🐍 - sell for a reasonable fee, move on. Onwards
egg_fried_rice Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 What does he think he's gonna do if he's still here when the window shuts? Not play? Of course not. He'll be apologising to the manager and his teammates with his tail between his legs so he can play some football this year. He's being advised badly and acting like a child. He'll get his move if someone pays the asking price, which is how transfers have always worked. I genuinely don't know what goes through these people's heads - they can't think beyond the end of their nose. Funny that there doesn't seem to be anyone seriously in for him. 1
Collymore Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 To me this is another point at the awful culture at the club. Winks sulking, Faes smirking and throwing fists at the fans and now Bilal apparently throwing his toys out.. It's hardly a band of brothers where players are held to account by each other is it? 2

Gives us time to get someone else in and doesn't risk us being left panic buying garbage, getting noone at all or being left with a player stuck here that doesn't have any interest in either playing or putting up a fight. I've no doubt he wants out, but ill take it with a pinch of salt hes talking about sitting in the stands.. obviously I dont know anymore than anyone else, I just dont see him as that type of player myself For me that time has passed. It’s already too late 1

Bad recruitment really. We really need to go back to doing what we were good at, recruiting players with the right attitude. If you go down, you work hard to get promoted, not kicking off to get a move. 5

Then players are spoilt unappreciated little babies. What a way to behave. Clubs need to stand up to them. They are under contract and behave accordingly. Pathetic 2
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 It does feel like (for once) the club actually holds a card or two with this with the recent sales. If he doesn't get his move it's of absolutely no benefit to him to keep sulking.

Ian Nacho Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Not really arsed. Most players end up doing it these days so probably agent influenced.

We have been in a similar position and I remember NP saying that there was loads of work put in finding the right fit personality wise. Hope Marti values are the same when we start buying again.

The Stuttgart link is here, loan with obligation doesn't really help us much with immediate money I would have thought? I'll let those with more knowledge explain how that works but I don't think that is much good to us. My thoughts are just sell him, he's good, talented, but not indispensable and we can and should reinvest the money in 3 or 4 players who will help us move forwards.
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 27 August 2025 Posted 27 August 2025 Hopefully this means that no clubs outside of Saudi are interested in him and we can earn a few extra quid. Any potential club is going to be put off by the fact he’s now done this at two clubs. What a tool.
