Didn't over complicate it, less stupid passing for the sake of it and attacked with some speed. 

 

Ref had a weird game, felt we could and should have had 2 pens on another day

Much less knobbing about with daft passes at the back. Prefer the back three, just get O'Hora out for Kangasniemi.  Horrible goal to concede near the end but didn't ever feel like they'd equalise.

 

Liked seeing Page and Doyle playing together.  I enjoy Lundstram being a unit and Riis being so direct.

 

Still Martin out because he'll likely revert back to his nonsense now.  But nice to win for once.

As we should be, and should've been against Burton, etc when we should have played those teams off the park but we didn't and that's down to Martin. 

Today was slightly encouraging, but one Swallow doesn't make a summer. 

 

To me today, it felt like RM had opened the curtains and seen the light. However like you, I fear he'll revert to type despite seeing the positives in today's performance.

What did you expect? I'm a member of the reality brigade and I reserve the right criticise if the performance deserves it. Today I felt some sense of positivity in short bursts and I praise that but it's not the second coming of Christ.

Think this is similar to Marti, win 1 one occasionally which keep him in a job but largely guff.

 

Need to string a run of winning 4 or 5 on the trot to avoid the sack for me.

Thought it was a large improvement from recent matches, the back three looked much better but Thomas is just not cut out for a fullback role - was convinced he'd get sent off.

 

Riis was excellent today, a lot more running from all and we were far more direct and less ponderous on the ball. If Martin sticks with that, then maybe I'll soften my view but 1 swallow doesn't make a summer... need to continue with that methodology and we should be fine.

You can tell we’ve won, it’s just gone 8pm and the post match thread is only 5 pages deep  

 

A good enough performance.  Dominated until they scored. We had a slow start and I think teams will look to try and hit us early and fast because at the minute we seemingly have no answer when we go a goal behind. 
 

Tried to walk it in a bit too much again, and I was thinking the ball just wasn’t going to go in for us. Two brilliant finishes for either goal. 
 

Standout performances from the goalscorers and Souttar, as well as Alves who did well at wing back. 
 

Onto Tuesday. We must back this win up.

It's good to get excited about a win but our season has been below average. I fully expect us to not turn up next match because we cant string anything together.

 

That said, i want us to win and hope that we find a way to start grinding out more wins. More wins will build confidence  and we  clearly need some.
