This confused me as this thread is for unpopular opinions. And then I realised that you weren’t proposing that such individuals simply be neutered and sent to an uninhabited rock in the middle of the Atlantic

I get why people say this, a lot think it about golf too.

 

As a spectator sport on TV, for regular events, I can kind of get why.

 

But I'd honestly say try going to a cricket match.

 

My favourite format is 50 overs, but if you can go to a T20 this summer, do it.

 

A couple of mates and a few beers, you'll love it.

But it's not really cricket is it. 

 

Don't get me wrong test match cricket looks like a fantastic day out but let's be honest here it's about beer with the lads more than the sport. 

 

I've got some mates with Cardiff and I take them to at least one Wales game in the six nations every year and its a fantastic vibe and a great day out but its got **** all to do with rugby.

The same can be said about darts. I find it a boring sport to play but like the atmosphere. 
 

Agree though @Finnegan, a night out around Cardiff with my mates for the six nations or even back to the World Cup when I saw France / Nee Zealand, has always been excellent.
