It's more that every single player out there looks like they've not kicked a ball for years and the season starts in 13 days time.

Completely understand that pre-season games in the early stages are for fitness, but we've only got two more games before we play Man United and we look completely devoid of any organisation or game plan  and off the pitch we're showing a complete lack of motivation in the transfer market.

It feels like we're settling for a 12th-15th placed, comfortable finish this season. We all know we can and should be doing better.

We also know that pre-season results mean pretty much nothing at all. Match fitness, no injuries and getting players ready to play in a certain system are the bigger milestones for the manager and the coaching staff.

I've literally just given two examples of us being "out there". You're just whinging for the sake of whinging about something you have absolutely no knowledge of.

Malcolm was a waste of time. He's one of the best young wingers in the world. We'd have had absolutely no chance with him so no idea what our scouting department is smoking. Same goes for Bailly if rumours are to be believed.

Jahansbakh or whatever his name is went to Brighton for pittance. If we wanted him then we should have paid the money.

If that's "out there" then **** sake we're in a right mess.

May not have been the best decision to televise these pre- season games. Albrighton and Silva looked OK before they came off. Diabate always seems to get game time but frustrating to watch. Lets hope for changes in second half.

Maybe it's time to acknowledge that the opposition have been playing better?

Tell me when I said they haven’t been? But anyway, you continue to ignore a point when you’ve got nothing to answer too by trying to deflect it to something else. They haven’t been doing enough. It’s poor.

Puel gone after 5 games

Based on a couple of pre season games lol

We used to lose pre season games all the time under Pearson (I recall losing at Shrewsbury) but when the season came around we were at it.

Today has been poor but people read far to much into pre season.

I don't want to be too negative, it is pre season, there's a lot of second string players in the team, but what are the Puel fans basing their support on?

Had they cut us open with brilliant play, maybe... but they’ve hardly had to break sweat.

Slow, sloppy play, devoid of any attacking threat. It doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

But who agrees to give out these contracts????

So we extended championship winning players contracts. Perhaps you should loan the club your crystal ball. I'm guessing you had £20k on us to win the prem then.

I'd say the most important thing about pre-season at this stage is looking like the players we have are in any sort of position to be playing Premier League football in 13 days.

Does it look like any player we have could play a PL match in 2 weeks to their full ability? Not to me it doesn't.

I think they're basing it on the fact that they genuinely think we're only playing these games for fitness.

Fear of being shown up as wrong.

Diabate tries to do too much, it's quite annoying

He does. I reckon he's trying too hard to impress. He needs to calm it down and play it simple. I suspect that's his lot for this game though.

Amartey has impressed me, albeit not having a lot to do.
