HighPeakFox Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 Which will people let go first - Kermorgant or failing to attack United this season? 3

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 United overpayed for HM but anyone trying to blame him for United's ills is quite frankly just a bitter weirdo. United rarely concede more than one goal a game. He's really not playing badly at all IMO. United's problems are a lack of creativity and in the dugout. 1
Sly Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 I think the answers is, that money could have been better spent, elsewhere, from their point of view.

Wan-Bisakka is really good, in time 50 million will seem a steal, he's young and bound to make mistakes, mind. Maguire is, and has been for a while, a very capable top half centre back. He improves Man United but he was never worth 80 million. 2

You could argue that neither are good enough for United (if we're comparing them against other players of theirs from the past decade or so) but McTominay has been their best player this season, he'll carve out a very decent career.

Nalis Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 Everyone talks about the quality of young players at Man Utd in the Fergie years but that was coupled with buying key players in positions they identified they were light, all of which made for a winning formula. Cantona, Yorke, Cole, Vidic, etc. Man Utd have generally bought badly since he's left, likes of McTominay and Rashford can only do so much. 2
