Wait a second....... Could we actually be having a brilliant transfer window?

The new 5 year contract for Ihenacho and Slimani will take the sheen off it.

Interested to see how he will fit into the side. Can't see him starting unless it's on the wing, if he's gonna play a part of the bench he would be a great impact option to bring on. Much better than the usual bench options we've been used to.

Newcastle fans seem to think he's inconsistent,  but also say he was possibly their best player the second half of the season.

Doesn’t he play on the left for them? Can Barnes play on the right?

He has played there before and on the right, but he's a forward and not a winger really. Best position would be as a number 10. He played on the right of a front three mostly last season where he had his best season for us.

Mike Ashley will think he’s done well as Newcastle bought him for only 1.5mil, so 16mil is still a healthy profit. However for a player who scored 12 goals last season and is as versatile as Perez this is great business for us

I'm happy if we have the "problem" of accomodating more potential first team players than there are places, if you're doing well you're likely to be in the side, win win situation. Chelsea often leave out Willian and Barkley, Utd and Arsenal chop and change, there's enough games for Barnes, Perez, Maddison, Albrighton and Gray (or A.N.other) to all make massive contributions over the season and if we don't see one of them it's because we've won comfortably.
