We’re going to get some right random players show up massively shredded aren’t we? I’m secretly hoping Vardy is working on his cornrows again as well

Theres got to be something bigger going on here. Youri is in the same position but Cags has been completely isolated. Maybe Cags is adamant on leaving on a free and the club want to cash in now, so we're in a stalemate. But whilst we have him he must be ahead of Amartey.

Just turned 26, was the best defender in the League with Van Dijk a couple of years back, when he partnered Johnny Evans in our strongest defence since the title winning season, and we're happy to let him go for free, whilst we have a guy who will be 35 in January playing every week.

I just don't understand what we're doing anymore. The longer it goes on, the more it feels like Top/The hierarchy are becoming incompetent too. There's a player here who has all the attributes to be worth £50 million+, with pretty basic and standard coaching, that cost surely has to be higher than the fee we have to pay to get rid of Brendan and bring someone else in?

There's zero chance he's a £50m player because he's not renewing his contract. Now in his final year, we'll be lucky to get £20m for him. Why play someone who has had bad concentration/anger problems which lead to us collapsing in important games when he's not committed to the club?

It's pretty clear the relationship between Cags and Brendan has broken down at this point.

He's barely featured in any competitive games since Rodgers said there was "no hope" after he bottled the challenge at Spurs(?) (paraphrasing). He's the only individual player that I recall BR digging out in the media round in his entire tenure at the club.

He's finished here whilst the manager is still around.

Seems that way doesn't it. Like if you fall out of favour then there's no route back.

Based on the interview Soyuncu recently gave, I'd suggest otherwise.

Why have a manager with poor decision making and a massive ego that leads to us collapsing in important games?

If anything that interview actually made me think he would sign a new deal

That may be true, but he can't be on the pitch reminding our own players that they shouldn't get sent off.

Soyuncu literally kicked another player in the final few games of the season 2 years ago which had a direct impact on us utterly collapsing and missing top 4.

If a player needs to be told not to kick another player and get sent off, they're not good enough.

When he keeps his head, he's a fine player, but he's too often too rash. We don't need that in our defence right now. He's seemed completely off it since Euro 2020.
