ealingfox Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Carlos Sanchez has got to be one of the worst players to play in the Premier League. He's fooking terrible. Never thought we'd see him again after that Villa season but somehow he's gotten another contract. Must have a cracking agent.

Does this signal the beginning of the end for the "top six"? The Big Three/Four/Five/Six has always been a fluid concept. The idea that the current members are the "traditional" ones is a complete myth largely put about, I suspect, by Spurs fans to make themselves seem relevant.

What a bummed-out atmosphere in that stadium. Moyes, their players, their fans all have that haunted, relegation look about them. They are bang in trouble IMO. Level on points with two of the bottom three and have a very tough lot of fixtures coming up: I'd love to see them go down personally. Can't stand the dildo twins or Brady.

That run of fixtures could easily have them down 2 winnable ties in there and even they won't be easy
steveherbe Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Well, that's ruined this match as a spectacle. Just a case of how many Man City score. Agree with Danny Murphy, some footballers are brain dead.
Super_horns Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Good job your game was decent for a neutral as most of the other TV ties probably won't be!
steveherbe Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Just gonna savour the genius of Mahrez, boy do we miss him.

Brainy Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Did Danny Murphy ever make a mistake on a football pitch? Sick of hearing him harp on about Ream and his red card

Be surprised if they get more than 8 points in that run and that's probably being generous!
UniFox21 Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Man United starting a back 3/5 against Tranmere.

There's many examples of him just looking extremely out of his depth. Goes back to the Championship days.
Leicesterpool Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Went to watch Cov play Birmingham at St Andrews... wow I knew that a ground was dated! but seriously that stadium needs to be knocked down. For a second city club you'd expect better. Shows signs of no ambition from their owners. Funny thing to happen yesterday was went to my seat near front in row 2... only to find the first two rows being covered in tapaulin, we were then told like so many others that booked row's 1 & 2 we'd been moved to the top corner of the stand... so why we're them seats on sale?... Match itself was pretty awful, failed to come alive until the final twenty minutes. Showed that two teams who seem to score many goals! I'm amazed to see Cov so high up in League One. Birmingham did look poor and if you take Bellingham out that squad who really looked good by the way... then that squad is nothing. Atmopshere was decent, but most of the noise came from the Cov fans to be fair, Birmingham were really quiet second half... though they hadn't really got much to cheer about second half. Can't remember them creating much. So both teams got to go through all that again.. back at St Andrews.
Matt Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 Rightly or wrongly i've seen offside given for less than Jesus' goal. Personally I think it was offside - It might have been 'another armpit offside' as Murphy said but you can also score with your shoulder (I think the rules are so all over the place these days I don't know what is what isn't, seems they make it up as they go along) which was offside. It doesn't really matter, Fulham were 2-0 down, but its the principle and dare I say it unfair advantage given because of who it is, Manchester City, a 'lesser' club and it'd have been called offside.

Benji Posted 26 January 2020 Posted 26 January 2020 This is a proper cup game. The state of the pitch Got upset written all over it. Ball’s bobbling everywhere and they bang balls in the box and try to bully them. Horrible tie for United.

I see it as at least a 50-50 chance. It’ll be Norwich plus two of Bournemouth, WHU, Villa and Newcastle. I’m no fan of their owners either; but long may they reign. The Sterility Bowl for free is a huge leg up on similarly sized clubs like LCFC and Wolves -- we shouldn’t wish for anything resembling competent ownership there. At the point Porno Guys and Gal do decide to sell, that stadium subsidy will increase their take by tens of millions.
