Is it just me but every time a ball goes into our box we look like a rabbit in the headlights, corners, free kicks, crosses were all over the place.

A few weeks ago we looked like no one could score past us now any shot we face pretty much goes in, kasper spends more time picking the ball out the net than making saves!

It’s not just you. I think we’re all beginning to realise that Kasper is on the decline. He still makes great saves but he has no command of his area, his distribution is erratic and he is an uninspirational captain.

Absolutely devastating result. To lose to Villa over 2 legs is absolutely unforgivable given the relative positions of the 2 sides not to mention the way the 2 games played out.

Not been this disappointed about one of our results for years.

Seeing a lot of "bottle job" bollocks in this thread.

We might not have played brilliantly but we only lost to a last last minute winner.

And that was after having a blatant penalty denied.

We're currently 3rd in the Premier League table, 3 points off 2nd, 8 ahead of 4th and with a goal difference of +28.

I'm gutted that we lost tonight but I'm so ****ing proud that we made it to the semi final in the first place, and are doing so well in the league.

We're not Spurs. We're Leicester ****ing City.

We're here to **** the elite up. Tonight was just a blip.

Take the negativity elsewhere.

Also, **** Dry January.

Mike Read game awareness, look where the ball goes out and where they take the throw in from in the build up to the goal, but wasn't to be their keeper had a blinder

I was screaming at the time. I know most throws in don’t happen in the same place, but surely the half way line should matter!?

Why sub Barnes for Gray??

We were pushing for the winner.

Think Gray would have taken a penalty, did in the Everton game, unfortunately never got to pens:(

Grealish outshone madders and ran the game.

Grey what was he doing for 2nd goal gave him far too much space to cross the ball.

No pressing from us at all. Against Brentford for the first 25 mins we pressed like mad.

Tielmans so slow and sluggish I prefer praet don't think he deserved to be dropped. Starting to think BR has his favorites.

There keeper had a blinder over the 2 games, just disappointed as we didn't press like how we did in the league game when we won 4-1. Shit scared of grealish

Grealish is a cheating scumbag. No class or skill. Madders looked dangerous all game. No idea how you reached you conclusion.

We lack any physical presence in the team, yet again out bullied by a shite outfit. Gutting.

I've been saying that for a long time. Too much expected of NDiddi. We need someone who kicks people or has a big physical presence.

Again please explain. What is this throw away use of the term bottling??

Bottling it would have been throwing away a lead or not turning up at all. We had about 50 shots in the 2 games and they won it with their 2nd shot on target. I would say its unlucky not bottling it.

Only how you want to use it.  We’ve come in to two games against a bang average team rather than one of the Manchester clubs, had 40 plus shots, they’ve played the first leg without a striker, they can’t buy goals week in week out and we’ve lost 3-2 on agg.  For want of a better word they have unfortunately bottled the tie (clearly not the season).  After what happened against City and Liverpool you do have to question if they have the stones for big games.  It’ll come in time I’m sure but I don’t this it’s an unfair reflection of the tie.

I'm more disappointed if we drop 2 points in the league. It's the Carabao Cup which Man City will win easily. Chill mate

5 things:

1. I think our league performances and position is better  than what we actually are.

2. I am not sure we have any squad depth - little to come off the bench to worry opposition

3. Brendan needs to work out how to play the big matches

4. Effort yes we gave some - but there are fundamental weaknesses that keep cropping up - not closing down for one.

5. Lack of leaders on the pitch

As for the team, it was our strongest starting 11 yet they just couldn’t turn it on enough today, let’s hope for a positive reaction against Chelsea.

BR has some serious work to pick them up, not looking forward to Saturday lunchtime.

Jonny Evans header was a corner, they scored from the goal kick, hey you support your team through thick and thin, we should have won, but sorry football just isn’t like that....good luck Villa.....let’s get behind them on Saturday.....

Some great goalkeeping.

Some weird officiating.

Some bad luck.

Some poor finishing.

Grealish being class in both legs.

Put it all together and it could've gone either way.

We were mostly poor in the first leg and started the second half badly tonight. But there was some good stuff in there as well, and Villa are in form at the moment.

I take comfort from the likelihood that it didn't really matter who got through tonight. Man City would rip through either of us.

People are bitter and angry so it’s no time for sober analysis. We lost a semifinal we were expected to win and the players will be really hurting.

It may build their character but atm they will be devastated.

But we have failed to win every big game we’ve been involved in this season, except Spurs at home. That’s a fact.

It’s not a fact. How do you get to 3rd in the league without winning big games? how do you get to a semi final Without a big game?

Or are big games only those prescribed to you by sky and their “big 6” bollocks?
