Maddison

It's simple the boy can silence us all and the critics by putting on one hell of a performance tomorrow. No excuses about fitness, lack of match sharpness or previous injuries. Just do it on the day its one game and then he can tweedle do to the beach with Greasy and Chilly. Rogers will

deal with pre-season prep when the time is right.

Sell this lad to the first club stupid enough to give us a vaguely silly fee based on this reputation he’s built from flashes here and there and talking a great game in the media.

Smiling and back-slapping the Spurs players at full time. He just doesn’t have that winner’s mentality to reach the very top.

He’s been awful on the pitch for a fair few weeks at crunch time this season and, as a player in the squad who has missed out on top four at the death twice now, he should be gutted and annoyed at today.

The casino story, the lockdown party, using the winter recuperation break last season to go and get hammered in Ibiza, smiling and laughing with the Villa lads prior to the semi-final second leg... all seemingly minor things when viewed in isolation but all add up to a player who doesn’t have the grit and desire to reach the very top.

Cash in now whilst we can.

One of our best players today, made a huge difference when he went off

Awful first half and played a couple of decent passes second half including the one that got Vardy in behind Sanchez but miles off what we should be expecting given the bumper contract he’s on and the performances he owed after jeopardising our chances of success at West Ham.

Nah...he was fine today, lost any semblance of control in their half after he went off

Come off it. You think it’d be better for him to stomp around like a three year-old who’s been told they can’t have an ice cream?

He may or may not have ‘that winner’s mentality’ - but behaving like a grown up certainly doesn’t prove he hasn’t.

I can’t get my head around those saying he doesn’t care and his heads not in it. He’s one of the most passionate players in our squad, just look at the FA cup win, and how he conducts himself in interviews.

Yes, he can be frustrating, but we’re a better side with him in it.

Thought he played well today and encouraging signs. Would of kept him on and took Iheanacho off who was hopeless today and kept slipping over. With the amount of staff and preparation attention to detail goes into each game, it really is astonishing how many times they get the wrong studs in !

That’s his problem. Front and centre when times are good or there’s a sound bite to deliver but nowhere to be seen when things aren’t happening.

Compare him and Tielemans in how they conduct themselves in the good times and also the bad. Worlds apart and they’ll end their careers worlds apart in what they achieve and how they are seen.

Tielemans will have loads of medals, Maddison will have loads of mates (or should I say ‘bro’s’?!).

I thought he was one of our best players today, we lost control of the ball when he got subbed. We took off a key player and a potential game changer and Spurs bought on two game changers in Bale and Moura. If he wasn’t injured or knackered you have put it down as a tactical error.

His performances have been disappointing, but he was looking OK in that 2nd half.

Nacho should have gone off and an extra midfielder (Ricky, Dennis or Hamza) to stop them running through us.

Kane and Son are a very good strike force, so to give their midfield an advantage, was plain daft.

I'd cash in, if the offer was decent though
