We went 1-0 down to Man City after 5 minutes through a world class unstoppable goal, and still won convincingly.

 

But I know exactly what you mean. I'm not saying I like the system, but I am trying to offer the reasoning for why we would go this way.

Spoilers - it's zero and Fabregas was played up top as a false 9.

This is a big test of Harvey's confidence! Hopefully he is on a high after the last game. If Praet, Mendy, Madders and Youri are on it we will be fine. Their defence isn't great. Vards will come on too.

It'll be the same style as the team vs Man City. I didn't expect it but now it's there it makes sense. It's that team but with Vardy not fit, barnes gets pushed upfront and Maddison goes wide left. Iheanacho and Slim aren't fast enough for the role Barnes will be filling. 

 

It worked vs Man City, it can work against Arsenal.

Hmmm... Looking at the line-ups does not really fill me with confidence. Arsenal looks like being able to start their best 11 and we have to change formation yet again with a handful of key players out.

This for me. He thrives with more space on the wings. Don’t get the logic of playing him where it’s more crowded.

 

Do think Maddison will play just behind him as a number 10 though.
