You'd think from Sky that it was wave after wave of Wolves 2nd half. 

 

It was nothing of the sort. Yes they improved but it never felt particularly uncomfortable. 

 

Fofana MOTM - he has at least doubled if not trebled his value already. Mendy excellent 2nd half too. 

 

To go top of the league after 8 games, with Europe and our injury list is a huge achievement.

Great win and that is the type of game you need to win if you’re to have a successful season,

 

Also I know it gets said on here after every game he’s played but how Fuching good is Wesley Fofana?! He’s 19 years old and looks like a world class centre half already!! 
 

Mendy class once again, Wilf serious has a fight on his hands to get back in the team when he’s fit again 

 

Top of the league, lovely jubbly

Impressed with Fuchs and Mendy.

Really rode our luck second half and never really looked like we were getting that second goal. Barnes had to score that sitter and Justin's passing was atrocious second half.

 

But a win is a win and its a good way to go into the pointless international break.

Well it ended up a lot closer than the first 45 mins suggested. We were just about the better team second half but the two pens and the first half performance killed us.

 

Thought that Neves strike was in though, great save, and Barnes really should have scored too at the other end.

Score that 2nd pen and we probably win by 4, but we didn't. Brilliant save by Kasper. Fofana, JJ and Mendy absolutely outstanding.

Mendy emptying out his pockets tonight to find the Hollywood sign. Thought Ritchie Wellens was back the way Neves was strutting around out there.

 

Traore absolutely nothing about him and that Ait Nouri looked complete shite. As for their 17 what on earth is that lol.

That was 15/16 ish in many ways. Great win considering we have played 2 games in the week. Mendy again excellent, Fofana superb, Praet and Tielemans hugely impressive and Justin works so hard. Fuchs rolled back the years and a magnificent save by Kasper. Enjoyed that immensely.

Tell you what, fair play to Wolves for coping so well with their extra matches last year and finishing 7th. We're now seeing how much effort it takes.

 

I'm glad we are combining good form in both unlike 2016. Having a manager who is used to European football must be helping massively.
