Great win and sorry for being negative but 2-0 at half time yet we shit the bed 2nd half and its torture to watch.

Oh yeah.......SH11111T ON THE VILLA!!!! :riyad:

It's so difficult to keep the juggernaut going when we have so many games and so many injuries. I'm just so proud of their mental resilience and bottle, that has improved no end since last seasons capitulation.

Great first 30 minutes or so. Second half was rubbish especially after Madders was injured and BR decided to shut up the shop, we stopped playing football and invited Villa to do what they want. Luckily they weren't good enought to capitalize on that.
A game to forget, the most important thing is 3 points are in the bag. Hopefullyt Madders will be all right. Barnesinho was pure class, terrorised them until last 20 mins, MOTM for me

Redknapp thinks it will be tough for barnes to get in the England squad because of the likes of Rashford greenwood and saka.  Get ****ed.

It’s true though with Southgate in charge. It’s funny how much the commentators bang on about Maddison but I think Barnes is more important to us. Barnes has 13 goals this season, Grealish has 7.

I think he’s seen enough to know that they weren’t going to break us down easily, so in the end his decision was vindicated. No need to chase a game you’ve already won. Their goal was mainly us switching off provided we didn’t to that again the game was won. So thinking about it, it was actually a great bit of management from Brendan.

We didn’t need to “chase the game”

Simply thought we needed to hold the ball more, but there was no outlet upfront as Vardy became isolated.

But it’s 3 points in the bag, so all well ends well. :appl:

You love to see Amartey, N'didi, Mendy and Choudhury all on the pitch at once lol

Shiithoused the second half.

Really impressive how well we're doing without Vardy chipping in. Imagine how good we'll be if he can find some form.

Professional performance from the lads, looked tired by the end but we started fast and well, got a couple of early goals and then managed the game well.

Didn’t mind us parking the bus in the last 20 mins as we seem more solid from defending corners/crosses with Soyuncu back in the team.  Thomas played really well, another potential star if he keeps progressing the way he is.  Vardy hasn’t regained match sharpness yet and it shows.

Barnes is becoming our main outlet, we keep talking about the search for Vardy’s successor but maybe he’s been here all along...

In Brendan we trust...

But ending up with 3CBs, 3DMs against a Grealish-less Villa?

Context is a big thing here though.

Yeah it might not have been pretty but the 3 points is the most important thing.

We're in the midst of a very tiring season, with a thinning squad due to injuries and Brendan has to manage that. He's done that, and in the process, has helped us bag another 3 points. Obviously it's not all about Rodgers but the fact he's made these calls and the players who he chooses to bring on have done their jobs, then they deserve credit.

Yes, they didn't have Grealish, but they were still getting forward and we were camped in our own half - we could have brought on Under/Iheanacho, but you wouldn't want to concede 3 points because a player of theirs finds some space on the edge of the box where a DM might have been occupying.

The game management has improved and that's down to the managers and players. It's got us 3 points today and will see us get more in future so that we can prevent what happened last season happening again.
